FIRST TIME, thank god, someone explain to others how the sound of the speakers (reviewed) delivered to ears. There ISN'T any possible way to listen an audio device inside a video, how it can perform, that's just IMPOSSIBLE! Thanks dude!
I have these speakers. I have them connected to a Philips TV via the Optical Toslink cable. My Sony Blu-ray is connected to the TV via hdmi. I also connected the Blu-ray player directly to the speakers via the coaxial cable. I also have a Sony record turntable connected to the speaker via RCA cable. I also have the option to connect my phone, iPad or laptop to the speakers via the 3.5mm to RCA cable. Finally, I have the option of using the v5 Bluetooth connection facility if and when I ever wish to. The sound from these speakers is fantastic at the 12 o’clock settings. They are worth a lot more than €170.00……!
@@khalidnoer : Yes. When connected up to a TV and watching the TV, whether via Bluetooth or with an optical toslink cable, you can control the volume with your tv remote.

One of the best vids on the r1855db on youtube! What volume was the r1855db at when you recorded the sound sample? Was the bass and treble knobs at noon?
Thank you Mark Winston for your kind comment! I didn't set the volume high... maybe between 1/4 to 1/3. The bass and treble knobs are always at noon (I like to hear the music in its purest form)! One thing I forgot to mention in the video: no post production was done on the sound samples, except for the audio gain (to put the two sound sources at the same level for better comparison).
@@VMCWD thanks for the quick reply! Most Edifiers will benefit from a -1 or -2 treble and -2 or - 3 bass to make it as neutral as possible, especially the r1700bt, r1850db and r1855db. :) I have my 1855 paired with the Elac Sub1010 and it sounds fantastic!
Thx for the review. May i ask for your opinion between the provided Left Speaker Connecting Cable(big cable with 4-pin jack) VS the black&red cable(provided in other Edifier models e.g. R1280dbs)? Could you suggest pros and cons of each one? Thx.

You have ruined all the models that have the knobs on the back, and it is very unfortunate because they are a beauty in performance and aesthetics. Great review! I was wondering how long the 3.5mm to rca cables are because I’m planning to keep the speakers at one end of my room and the source being my laptop on the other end.
Hi! They are not directly comparable. The MR4 are studio monitors and the r1855db are bookshelf speakers. The MR4 are supposed to have a flat response (and that can translate into a neutral sound, great for studio, but not so great for the general consumer). You will not be disappointed with the sound of the r1855db. And shure enough you will be able to tune the sound to your best liking.
Boa tarde!
Great video i just have one question i have a laptop with 3.5 mini jack output can i connect the speakers to my laptop with the cables that comes in the box? or do i need to buy a separate cable?
Hi! We're talking about different products here. If you want good 2.0 speakers, at an affordable price, go for Edifier. If you want 2.1 channels, go for the JBL. If you want to pay for the extra mile, having a 5.1 channel configuration and SONY, go for that. But, as I say, they are totally different products and not comparable.
Hi, Kumar! My honest opinion is: for this price range, you can't go wrong with these. I have a large collection of CDs and for a long time I haven't been able to listen to them properly. Not until now. For my taste, these speakers are great!
Hi again Kumar! First, thanks for subscribing to my channel! Second, I'll be completely honest with you: for now, this is a small personal RUclips channel. All the things you see are mine and bought by me because I need them. Then, I make a review and publish in my channel. At this point, I cannot attend individual needs of my subscribers. Maybe some day. However, there are many more technical reviews on the way, and I hope you and many other persons find them interesting!
Hi! At least for me it has enough bass. Nevertheless, if you need even more, it has a connection for an external subwoofer. Thank you for your comment.
Nice video! By the way, Are you experiencing the following noise while turn them on? ruclips.net/video/22ZUH8P1wOk/видео.html I recently both them and I don't know if this is normal. This happens randomly.
@@VMCWD I realized that this only happens when I am not giving the sufficient time to the speaker to power off.. (less than 10 seconds).. So I think is normal due to the internal capacitors. Thanks,
Why do you use horror music, Is there a monster in that box? So unnecessary and annoying! Thank you for taking the time to review them, but sometimes it is better to not have any background music on while doing reviews, especially in mind for all listeners sake! What you say about the speakers are more important than the music, most of the people who watch and listen could care less about the background music!
Thank you for your feedback. Allow me to disagree with you. I wouldn't classify Jesse Gallagher's "The Inner Sound" as being horror music. It's profound and mind touching. Although, in 11526 views, you are the first one to criticise the background music, don't worry. I even listen the 0,009% of the unhappy viewers and I'll try to make the music less obtrusive in future videos.
Believe me. If you were with me in my living room, the sound coming from the TV would be tinier, lacking bass and a little under on the trebles too. But, having said that, when compared with other TVs, shure... SONY's sound is top of the line!
