Honestly, I feel like Ambush during the Seek chase *could* work, they just have to tweak the chase itself a bit. In short, closets are much more common in the chase, and Seek freezes when you are hiding. Maybe they could have Ambush arrive from the front, and put a glowing green light under the door similar to when you crucify Dupe. Keep the door locked if you try to open it early, like with A-120. Ambush will only appear in the crossroad rooms, not the ending hallway just to be fair for the player. Who knows, maybe Ambush could arrive as soon as you get out the chase, but you still have the chase speed boost until you find a hiding spot. It could transition smoothly back into normal gameplay instead of "You got past the exit door, instantly slow down." However, Ambush would behave more like Rush during the chase, since they run past *once* and despawn until a room or two. If they rebounded *during* the chase, it might be a bit broken. Just a rough idea, I don't know how it would feel in actual gameplay, but it's better than having no chance at hiding because you gotta keep running. And with other modifiers such as Eyes, Giggle, or even Dread, that can appear during the chase, it makes sense that either Rush or Ambush would have one.

Or make Ambush go through the middle, but have it so that it doesn’t see you through the walls. You have to wait on either side of the fork to not get attacked.
Yeah, mostly small bugs like that skeleton key dupe, something you won't find if you just play normally. There is no time for the devs to go pressing random keys at the same time, doing random stuff to fix bugs. THIS glitch is something you can find if you play normally. It ruins the game. So, the devs would have most likely found this bug if they actually tried to fix bugs.

it’s really incredible how the devs never bother to playtest the actual modifiers when they make a change to them. like in the mines patch, again x3 was bugged and ambush didn’t spawn after door 7. and NOW, after fixing that bug, they created another bug which makes ambush spawn at the seek chase. there’s so many other modifiers that were/are bugged, like wet floor which is virtually impossible unless you’re superhuman. and it’s so obvious when the modifiers are bugged if you actually just play with the modifiers. like you will be able to tell immediately if something like ambush spawning at the seek chase happens. and that’s CLEARLY not supposed to happen. istg lsplash is nuking his own game at this point
tbh, they probably just forgot that ambush is still able to spawn in the seek chase if you think about it if you were a dev you wouldnt really catch that at first
@tallcowyt for real. i think part of the problem is that lsplash doesnt have a proper testing team, as seen with the mines update being an unbalanced difficulty nightmare i have to chalk it up to him being a noobie game developer who's unfamiliar with good testing practices overall; roblox doorslike genre is getting stale and mid because the devs forgot how to make good updates

You have to understand the devs, they are not going to be pressing random keys or playing anything, these are small bugs that are extremely difficult to find.
People hating on this not realizing a lot of things broke in the new update because the devs added to them. It's a pretty to normal development thing to modify files to work for development to fix later. You have to get give them some slack, they have lives outside of doors and can't always make bugless updates. Especially when they fix them asap
I hop the devs DONT do it as soon as possible, and take a break. They try to appease us so much they make too many mistakes. Hopefully they also don’t take many of these comments too seriously

@MCGR31 This happened to me with rush, but rush was in the library inside a table. I could see rush clearly and rush was blocking the way to the paper because when I tried to go near the paper, rush killed me. Thus, making the library impossible on that run.
not only is this modifier unfair to deal with, but now using back for seconds and afterimage makes ambush a literal ambush, like if you’re in the mines at like door 190 or something and he spawns, there is almost no reaction time and if you basically hear his sound, its probably too late and you’re just screwed unless there are safe spots around you.
They also killed "Back for seconds" modifier. it's just literally every rush replaced with ambush, I got only ambushes before door 50 with this modifier.
On the contrary, doing the simple modfiier combination of Again3x, afterimage, and maximum overdrive with a no hiding challenge is actually really fun as you speed from room to room trying to hide from ambush using grace periods At least, until the first seek chase
Fun fact most rusher entitys break in modifier runs A-60 Rush and Ambush can all get stuck in their spawn locations idk about A-120 but if it does you're not winning that run.
I saw in someone’s vid that some mods are also broken and don’t work in Mines(only there I believe) so u can use them as a freebie for the 150% or 50% badges. Such mods include Watch Your Step, I Love Pancakes and Electrical Work. (Based on what I saw these are some examples)
They buffed Electrical Work now and it doesn't do the earthquake anymore. But for the others, i haven't tried. Edit: the Snare modifiers also don’t work, so they’re also free %.
One time I was playing a mostly normal game, (Modified with El Goblino’s Payday and Soundproofing) and Rush took a path that it wasn’t supposed to and killed me in a side room. This was the key room with the blockage made of random furniture in the center, I was hiding in a spot next to a bookshelf in a room with a bed. Normally Rush takes a path through an empty L shaped room to get to the other side of the blockage, but for whatever reason, it went into the room I was in, killed me, and I’m guessing it just phased through the wall back into the L shaped room that it’s supposed to go into and then resumed its normal route, but I wasn’t able to see it. Just a weird bug that I was slightly upset about. Also, there’s another weird glitch that might annoy people but I thought it was amusing because of the sheer absurdity of its effects. This glitch has an entire origin story, so let me tell you about it. In the beginning, there was- Just kidding. Basically, originally, if you used MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, you could outrun Rush because it would unload Rush if it goes into the Void zone. I guess the devs didn’t like this, so they made it so Rush and similar entities don’t unload even if you run far enough to leave them behind. However, this has an unintended side effect of preventing them from ever being able to unload until they are either crucified or they reach their intended destination (the next door). For whatever reason, A-60 can get stuck behind the closed door if it spawns shortly after the Seek chase, immobilizing it and preventing it from reaching its destination. For some reason this also makes it invisible. But the funny thing is that A-60 will still continue to make noise for the rest of the game. This also has other side effects, like permanently disabling Revives (presumably) and disabling the Possessed Candle. I was shocked when I heard it on the end screen, even though you can’t see anything. I love it because it’s stupid and annoying.

Honestly I think the modifier change could be really good if they just 1) Fixed the Seek bug, 2) Fixed the terrible pathing thing, 3) Fixed the multi-Ambush glitch, and 4) Reworked Ambush to leave from behind again instead of the door ahead (also they could prevent Ambush from spawning ahead of the player); because I actually like the idea that Ambush would actually do a full attack every time instead of just being there once (it gives a challenge)
5:00 this bug happened me with rush and A-60, but it was just an entire normal run, like, no revives, BUT I do remember a60 was right after seek chase, only rfm modifier was active, but anyways, in another different run without modifiers rush spawned but no after first seek chase, and I just heard the noise he makes during like 2 minutes straight, I went backwards and yeah, he was stuck, just like we can see on this video.
Instead of fixing the again and again and again modifier, the devs buffed it, its now harder than before. I think the ambush able to spawn in seek chase is a bug the devs didn't see since ambush was programmed to come back every 20-30 seconds. The bug where ambush can kill u randomly I think is because ambushes raycasting sometimes activates before attacking and where ambush attacks from the front and ignoring its path is probably because of the pathway bug again. I also think that the no arrivals are purposely there because the devs probably changed the way ambush attacks in again and again and again mod, I think if was changed from "ambush spawning every 20-30 seconds" to "do another 2-4 rebounds (not respawn) every 20-30 seconds". The bug where ambush never spawns again after seek chase I think is because of the pathway bug again this time because of the right choices of the pathways of seek chase. These are all theories and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.
I've also noticed they broke rush and he just opens the next door and doesn't come... I assume it is presuming that it reached the door before it actually has.
unrelated but i have an “admin panel challenge” the challenge is: again and again requirements: you have to create an entity, here are the stats: image id: 121288873207541 far sound: the default sound but at the speed of 0.03 near sound: the default sound but at the speed of 0.07 fog and light color: yellow rebounds: 100 speed: 50 delay: 3.3 damage: 100 spawn this entity at room 4 when the entity finishes rebounding you HAVE to respawn the entity (except at the seek chase) rules: -you CANNOT use the admin panel (except for creating and spawning the entity and enabling god mode in the seek chase) -that’s it

Had this happen to me in a Hotel Hell attempt where after the 1st Seek chase, (i did not have again & again & again active) Ambush had spawned and got stuck, i progressed through the game like normal until i died (to my game freezing in the 2nd Seek chase) i couldnt revive because Ambush was still active technically
Guys lets look at it, half of the comments here are complaining, lets be realistic they couldve pushed the update further with bugtesting but some people just are too blind to see
Not only that but when doing my new hotel hell layout all of the mines modifiers BUGGED, sure they had a warning sign on it but it still doesnt justify that they dont bugtest
A glitch or bug where you hear rush’s arrival sounds and other sounds it makes on repeat and rush sounds creepy or demonic either one works the devs need to fix it also it sounds like he is very close and the screen shakes aggressively like he’s there but he’s not it scares me it goes on until you beat the game or enter Rooms

5:00 this bug happened me with rush and A-60, but it was just an entire normal run, like, no revives, BUT I do remember a60 was right after seek chase, only rfm modifier was active, but anyways, in another different run without modifiers rush spawned but no after first seek chase, and I just heard the noise he makes during like 2 minutes straight, I went backwards and yeah, he was stuck, just like we can see on this video.
The snare modifiers are broken in the mines they just don't spawn LOL

Instead of fixing the again and again and again modifier, the devs buffed it, its now harder than before. I think the ambush able to spawn in seek chase is a bug the devs didn't see since ambush was programmed to come back every 20-30 seconds. The bug where ambush can kill u randomly I think is because ambushes raycasting sometimes activates before attacking and where ambush attacks from the front and ignoring its path is probably because of the pathway bug again. I also think that the no arrivals are purposely there because the devs probably changed the way ambush attacks in again and again and again mod, I think if was changed from "ambush spawning every 20-30 seconds" to "do another 2-4 rebounds (not respawn) every 20-30 seconds". The bug where ambush never spawns again after seek chase I think is because of the pathway bug again this time because of the right choices of the pathways of seek chase.
These are all theories and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.

Also A-60 after the seek chase gets stuck and its arrival will sound until you beat the game , he can still appear but it will be harder to hear him

Actually no. Not necessarily. If you’re being attacked by two things at once and you get hurt by both, you’ll crucify both

Anyone who contacts LSPLASH over Again x3 being broken should suggest that Wet Floor should be made less slippery, at least during the Seek chases and the like.
This happens in every public run every time we go to a new door ambush randomly spawns and even floor2😭 hide is the problem

Had this happen to me in a Hotel Hell attempt where after the 1st Seek chase, (i did not have again & again & again active) Ambush had spawned and got stuck, i progressed through the game like normal until i died (to my game freezing in the 2nd Seek chase) i couldnt revive because Ambush was still active technically

A glitch or bug where you hear rush’s arrival sounds and other sounds it makes on repeat and rush sounds creepy or demonic either one works the devs need to fix it also it sounds like he is very close and the screen shakes aggressively like he’s there but he’s not it scares me it goes on until you beat the game or enter Rooms
