I was going to ask how your insight was doing. I put 42,000 miles on my 2022 Honda Insight. I already had to replace my tires. The fuel door release stopped working just a few weeks ago. Warranty stopped at 35K. I have a lifetime warranty on the engine and eCVT that I got for free. Most expensive repair I believe will be the hybrid battery itself which no warranty covers.
Ruby is doing fine. I have about 33k on the car and I had to replace all the rotors. This kind of pissed me off since I felt 33k was awfully soon for new rotors. My main front camera failed 10 days before the end of the 33k warranty. The good news is most states mandate coverage on hybrid batteries for 8 to 10 years or 100k miles so you're probably covered on that too. I bought hondacare so I'm covered on everything for 8 years or 120k miles. Happy driving.
Usually I think about educational or philosophical farm videos when I see a man sitting down inside of a chicken coop. It's usually not the ubiquitous symbol of discussing extended warranties on Honda hybrids! In my personal experience at 87,000 mi, buying an extended warranty would have been money down the drain Even including the $900 spent to replace the head unit. It's been insanely reliable, mechanically speaking. You do have a good point in regards to the camera failure. On desktop computers, it's recommended that thermal paste be reapplied every year or so. At least it's easy enough to do in a computer relatively speaking. Not so much in a lane centering camera on a car.
I tend to agree with the waste of money opinion in general, but with the state of the world, and with what I see as a lack of anyone caring about what they do or make, I feel it might be a better bet on the warranty as long as the company you're getting it from is reliable.
I know this is got to be a good one. My aunt got extended warranty for like 8 years ..and I was initially like more money to get oil change and not even get her Knicks covered up? Who knows what oil they use or even give you new oil at the interval. Shii my dad told the happy old man at toyota nicely "sir whatever you have to offer , no thanks" we did the oil change in our garage and know WHAT goes in it
She got her 1st oil change now it has 3750 miles. She says they wouldn't fix the scratches and paint scrapes ? But I notice it doesn't seem to get very good mileage last time we went to
It sounds like she got the perpetual care contract of some sort. Sounds like she paid for general maintenance like oil changes and filter changes for many years. Did she also get the full honda care that fixes broken parts for several years after the 3 year warranty expires? Yeah I'm not surprised they don't cover scratches and such. Warranties like that are specialized and it sounds like she doesn't have anything like that. Does she have an insight too? If she does send her this link and it might help her out with the disappointing gas mileage. ruclips.net/video/nnuxoFh2ysE/видео.html

I know someone who just about got his money's worth on his Honda Odyssey but was not Honda Care. I agree, it's a gamble.
I've always been wary of auto warranties from someone other than the manufacturer. I'm glad it's worked out for your friend.

Out of curiosity, did your aunt ever need to use the warranty? Did the process go well?

You have the same color inside I do and I’m wondering what color your armrest is in the middle console?
I believe it's the same as the leather seats. White.
