- Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died, her family has announced. Queen Elizabeth had been Monarch of the United Kingdom and Head of the Commonwealth Nations since 1952. She surpassed Queen Victoria, her great-great grandmother, to become the Longest Reigning British Monarch in 2015. And in 2022, Britain celebrated Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in honor of 70 years on the throne. Queen Elizabeth was 96 years old.

Queen Elizabeth II was more than queen of the UK or the Commonwealth Realms. She was the people's queen, the longest reigning monarch in British history, a symbol of progress, peace, and prosperity. As an Irish person who was taught to hate Britian but the queen was someone we all could love rest in peace!
She wasn’t only a queen.. nor was she just a human. She was history in the making, when we think about the queen. We’ll always think of Queen Elizabeth II
As someone who isn’t in England or the UK, or any part of Europe at all, my condolences go out to those closest to her, and to the entirety of England and the United Kingdom. She will forever be known and will forever be missed.

She lived through so much, never lost her way and stayed true to her beliefs her entire life. She experienced 10 life times with all the accomplishments she obtained. I’m not from Britain but I still feel like I knew her. My mom would tell me stories when I was younger and it’s always resonated with me. RIP Queen. Thanks for everything you did.
The fact that she ruled for 70 years is a very long time! As an American, there’s nothing but giving the respect that she deserves and she is blessed to have lived a long good life!

It’s so strange to think she’s been queen so long that people have been born, lived, had kids and grandkids, and died all during her reign.
I’m not even from England or any part of Europe but this is honestly quite heartbreaking. She was somebody many looked up to and was a very sweet and amazing woman. She was gorgeous, she was powerful, and most importantly, she was such a kind woman. I wish her family the proper healing, may she Rest In Peace 💗

This was sad. I’m only 11 and it was my birthday. On my computer, I saw some news reports about health concerns for her. Next thing you know, during science class, the news broke out and we all said a prayer.
