Shooting moody footage in Moria was a challenge with the played light following me everywhere, but i think i managed!
Edit: This is a reupload of the original, now with music at a bearable volume!

The funny thing about my experience with Moria is that I never got the Epic Quest to get in at first, and I went through backwards. I used the dwarven war-room stables to go to a war room in Annak-Khurfu, which is way to the north of Rohavanion. I then somehow survived a fall off of a cliff and ended up in the Anduin, in a valley i could not get out of. I decided to swim all the way down the Anduin, since there was not much risk of enemies, and I got out at a road that led right to a town called Arhain, which was not too far from Lothlorien. I then went through Lothlorien to the eastern entrance to Moria, and was able to get in, since it didn't block you based on your level. I got all the stable masters, and for some reason, you can use the milestones in there at level 35, so I set my return home skill to the 21st Hall. I then went backwards through Moria to Eregion and the Doors of Durin, and was able to use the milestone skill to go back anytime. This means that you can get into Moria at level 20 if you're super good.
EDIT: At first the comment said that I got in at level 37, but I went back and checked my screenshots, and I was actually level 45.

I don't know when you first past through Moria. But when it first came out it was much darker than it is today. Many, many players complained . I'm guessing it was 1-2 yrs. after. They turned up the lighting. But at firs Moria was a mth ( if not longer) nightmare of darkness. But great vid. and info on Moria, It;s still dreaded today

I probably first played it around 2011 or 2012, so before the great rework, but I don't know when those lighting changes were made. Interesting bit of development history though! I personally remember going back to the Shire while questing through Moria just for a change of scenery.

And also higher mob density. And I believe it was also before the quest guide was introduced. I still remember everyone asking "Where is the bat cave?"
