I love this plant so much. Bought a $5 plant, in a tiny 4in pot. I transplanted it to a 1 gallon, and in 6 months, it's a 15" high monster now. Very forgiving, very full and lush... Now I want a dozen more! Thanks for the vid!
Thank you for sharing, i have one thats been growing in water at least 6 to 8 months 😳 and i know they can continue to grow in water but needed advice to put in a pot for new cuttings to give as gifts
I propagated 1 stem and it grew a root in a few days. Its been two weeks and the same stem hasnt grown anymore roots. Just that one root thats grown really long (5 inches). Should I go ahead and plant it or wait longer?
@@HouseplantsLife Thanks! I did end up planting it and has been growing well. I tried both the water and direct planting options and both worked!! Thank you sos much for the help!
You can use any potting mix designed for this plant. When moving from water to soil, it is a good idea to give it plenty of water at first to help it adapt.
Some plants yes! I’m not sure what all kinds can grow in water, but you’ll have to get a liquid fertilizer as the water won’t have all the nutrients a plant needs to grow.
@@indieliza7519 I think it depends. On big established plants they're harmless, but the larvae feed on new plant roots, so if you only have a small cutting that's just forming roots, it can kill the plant.

So nice of you.
When the roots appear, plant it in a pot and water it well at the beginning.
Great video thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!
Good sharing please stay connected
How long can I keep it in the water once roots begin to form?
you can keep it in the water for as long as you want. but you can plant it in soil once the roots are about an inch or two in length. :)
Which scissors are you using ? Nice video ! Thanks

What soil did you use? I always have a Hard time when transitioning from water to soil. It always seems to die matter which plant I’m trying to do.

Compost in a few months will work well
How often do you water ajew orchid plant newly transplanted from rooting in water?
The amount of water varies depending on the season, but mainly when the top soil is dry.
it can propagate in water and or direct in soil?
Yes, both ways are good:)
I did exactly what this video showed, and two weeks later still no new roots.
Wondering Jew Plant takes root very well. Roots will start to appear in less than two weeks. Try again...I wish you success.
Could you leave in water and never plant, like a pond plant?

After taking root in water, plant it in soil.
Then it will grow stronger.
Where to put it in shade or sun..plzz explain to propagate
These plants tends to grow their best in shady areas.
How often should I be watering them being such beginner roots
The roots come out when you add water. After that, you can plant it in the soil.
Wondering or wandering?
ya Shlemiel
wandering jew
Wandering
So then these plants can't be overwatered?
? Good question
how to deal with tiny flies around the plant ?
I wonder what kind of fly it is.
Sounds like fungus gnats? I suggest you look them up to confirm. They come when the soil is constantly moist to lay their eggs in the soil.
i think i know what you’re talking about, those don’t actually harm the plant? though they are crazy annoying!
