Kyaa khoobsoorat shuruaat, is piyaari shaayari se, Jahaan maujein hi maujen hoN,wahaan saahil nahin hota. Jahaan pe akl hoti hai, wahaan pe dil nahin hota. Chadhaa jaate ho, tum do phool, to ye bhi ganeemat hai. Mareez-e-ishq to, kaantoN ke bhii, kaabil nahin hota! Mohabbat naam gham ka hai, shuru aankhon se hoti hai, Bahut mazaa hai is mein, khatam saansoN pe hoti hai! Wah! Bahut khoob, dil khush kar diya, Hans Raj Hans ji ne! Inki awaaz mein pehli baar suni hai ye ghazal. Bahut hi dard se bhare bol hain, dil ko chuu lene waale! Dil mein Sanam kadaa tha, woh bhi ajeeb din thei. Lab par khuda khuda tha, woh bhi ajeeb din thei! Kyaa khubsurat anjaam diya in alfaazon ko, Hans Raj Hans ji ne, seedha ruh ko chuu liya! Ilzaam saikdon thei duniya mein, mujhpe lekin, woh mera hamnava tha, woh bhi ajeeb din thei! Bahut hi mazaa aaya, itni piyaari ghazal, Hans Raj Hans ji ki ruhani awaaz mein sunkar! Shukriya aapka, Jashne Rekhta, is program ki thodi si jhalak dikhane ke liye! Shubh kaamnayein!

I attended this in-person and I can tell you audience wasn't sleepy but by the end of it everyone was mesmerised and in a different zone. It was such a powerful performance that I still get goosebumps while listening to it. Everyone wanted to hear every word of it. It was The performance of the evening. :)
