I can't believe you risked all that sweet gear on the TSA! Amazing it all got through. Maybe the trick is to just brings tons of stuff not just one thing, ha!!
Dude, those Klein safety scissors are legit. The 4" version along with the Kai 7100s are the best EDC pocket scissors on the market. The Kleins are the best EDC travel scissors with that rounded safety end.
I hand them the Manager (where I snipped the blade out), and say “here, there’s no blade”… I think they appreciate that I’m not making them dig for anything. And they often nod with appreciation or intrigue of my little modification. I’ve carried a Screwpop utility blade holder through TSA a ton without a problem.
I love the Fiskars scissors and the OPort. I flew across the country and had no problem through TSA with the scissors but Disneyland Security would not let me in with them 🙄
I have a pair of those fiscar scissors and I was wondering if I should try to fly with them. I’m pretty sure they are specifically supposed to be TSA approved but I can’t imagine that always works out. Maybe I’ll just throw them in my luggage.
For graduation my uncle bought me tickets to see my two favorite baseball teams play. I'm a pirates and Braves fan, so my uncle got us tickets to the game in Atlanta. I had never in my life flew before that time. Well I was raised up on a farm basically and worked on a farm all through high school and into college on break. Anyway, I have carried some form of pocket knife ever since about 6 years old. So we go to Pittsburgh to fly to Atlanta. I had a Gerber paraframe in my pocket, just like a normal day. I'm 18, I have never done anything like this before in my life. I go to the TSA line, and instantly remember the knife is in my pocket. Needless to say, I lost that one lol
Enjoyed the video. The c.c razer holder appeals to me. If you print up a few more, please put up a notice. I'm not sure if you stated what air port you flew out of. In Jersey, either Newark International, Laguardia, or John F Kennedy. Would have had a fiesta with all that gear. I'm glad you made out ok.
Hi just wondering how feasible is it to transplant or make a new t shank holder on ym leatherman signal , I also have a leatherman surge and I wish the saw on my signal was replaceable / I could put a really long one / I could put whatever else. Sorry if you already did a video on this that I somehow missed , if that’s the case I’d gladly go watch it
Leatherman style PS are so hard to find and if you do they are so expensive. I didn't want to spend the money so I modified a Gerber Dime by removing the blade.
If I try that they would take everything. Similarly I have heard that you can take a TPT slide as long as there is no blade in it. I have not tried it myself.
I want to go to blade show so bad, but I threw my back out 2 days ago. I'm kind of doubting tomorrow, but maybe Sunday. Only problem is that I haven't been since 2019.and I didn't even get to see half the stuff then 3 days is not enough.
Just yesterday TSA took my Prybrid X but said my Otacle was okay. I don't get it. You can buy blades after security right at the shops in the terminals. It's whack
I had a round trip ticket. One way I forgot and left my Swiss Army Knife Classic on my keychain. Made it to my destination ok. Confiscated on the way back. On the *same* plane was a woman with a full sized pair of scissors and two knitting needles; TSA, "No problems found.". TSA is stupid, so you have to leave *any* "knife" in your car at the airport.
I'm surprised you thought the utility blade (without the blade) would be confiscated. If there's no blade in there, there's nothing to confiscate. It should go through. Then you purchase a cheap disposable blade at your destination and discard it before going back through TSA. I often get stopped for the Leatherman "TSA Friendly" Skeletool. Until they look at it. I mention it has NO KNIFE BLADE and then they let it go.
I've taken the fiskars through tsa a dozen times. Only was stopped once, I think the guy was new. Also how much do those heritage safety scissors weight?
Going through security is an art form. In here it's a real way of everyday life. I just recently noticed that if the guard is darker than me they usually don't bother with me much, but if they are white white, then I'm in for a pat down.
they once refused to take my skateboard as it can be used as a bat to hit people with although this wasn't transport safety association but european airport's security. they also refused a 15 mm open ended wrench, they deemed it too sharp
It always boggles me on how much stuff people wanna take on a plane. I kinda get the whole habit thing. But there is zero chance that from luggage drop off to luggage pick up, you will need any of your normal gear.
@@T-Mo_ Sure. But over the course of this weekend trip (in this case), your not going to need all this different gear. Now blade show (and related stuff) is a bit of a different beast as its for the people who love all this gear. But like, come on.
Does anyone know of a pocketable bit driver that can hold up to t27 or t25 Torx and medium size hex I’ve been getting into this ever since I got an older Harley and I wanted some low profile tool set to be able to easily carry on longer rides without having it packs a whole pack
711L mini ratchet is 35g and takes standard 1/4” bits. Might want a small bit extender tho no maximize utility. The 711L micro ratchet takes 4mm micro bits and is half the weight. Both are TINY
TSA workers need to be better trained on their own scissors rule. Sissors can be brought in carry-on bags if they are less than 4 inches FROM THE PIVOT POINT. And not 4 inches long in total!
TSA isn't so bad after all. In EU and many different regions most of this stuff would be confiscated in a heart beat!! In Europe no blades, scissors, nail files, screwdrivers... etc are allowed. Flashlights, powerbanks and electronics are ok, everything else is much safer in a check in baggage.
I guess the TSA doesn’t realize that if you really know how to use a pair of pliers correctly, you could definitely open up someone’s jugular vein with pliers.😂
tsa has a rule about scissors, max 4" from pivot point
I can't believe you risked all that sweet gear on the TSA! Amazing it all got through. Maybe the trick is to just brings tons of stuff not just one thing, ha!!
omg those package openers are amazing, I hope you make some more and theres a way for the youtube audience to get some. Great stuff!

I love those utility knife cards you made. I would definitely be interested in buying one. Wish I could have made it to Blade Show this year.
I hand them the Manager (where I snipped the blade out), and say “here, there’s no blade”… I think they appreciate that I’m not making them dig for anything. And they often nod with appreciation or intrigue of my little modification.

Disneyland has a security checkpoint? And it's stricter than the tsa?? I'm planning a trip there next month...
I've seen half these items at the TSA confiscation items store in Austin TX (Milwaukee box cutter and Leatherman tool). I've been there several times
I’d love to find better water bottle carrying solutions. Very interested in that bag
I have a pair of those fiscar scissors and I was wondering if I should try to fly with them. I’m pretty sure they are specifically supposed to be TSA approved but I can’t imagine that always works out. Maybe I’ll just throw them in my luggage.
Cheers mate. Hope you'll bring back lots of interesting stuff. Stay safe.!
Where can i find olight keychain charging port?? *** found it, thanks!****
Love the utility blade card idea - consider also adding the cord-cutter slot like the Milwaukee tool has?
Did knipex cobra went through tsa okay??

Avatar B3 Pen: multi pen / pencil. Thanks for the tip!
And it's assembled by the institute for the blind.
World's worst brand name, if you're searching by keyword :)

The scissors is what surprises me the most. I was never able to get through with anything sharp.

Nice video. I'm getting the Klein scissors. Where'd you get the Olight keychain charger dock? Limited edition?
You sure tested the TSA agents with that loadout.
That Utility knife card looks so useful, and I would be down to purchase some! o.o
I want to buy the 3D blade card. Where can I buy one ☝️???
If I try that they would take everything.
Similarly I have heard that you can take a TPT slide as long as there is no blade in it. I have not tried it myself.
Thanks for reminding me about the Oport Dominic. 👍🏻
I am wondering why you don't have a nail clipper in your travel kit. What if there's a nail emergency?😅

Damn! Sorry about your back..
Just yesterday TSA took my Prybrid X but said my Otacle was okay. I don't get it. You can buy blades after security right at the shops in the terminals. It's whack
I like your UTILITY cutter 👍 but you need to find a way to put a spare one also .......it would be great !!!!
Very interested on the bag with the water bottle mod, may I have the name? I searched grail shoulder bag, can’t find it
Grayl was the spelling in the video, I think.
@@DavZell found it!! Thanks a lot, the cc subtitle said grail ...
Link to that Grayl bag? Amazon search comes up empty
Can I get more info on that bag?

Would love to buy some of your blade cards if you ever start selling them.
I wont, but I will give them away! I need to get on making some more infact.

Hmm, not sure.

Well played sir. But the blade holders😮👍
they once refused to take my skateboard as it can be used as a bat to hit people with although this wasn't transport safety association but european airport's security. they also refused a 15 mm open ended wrench, they deemed it too sharp
Where can we have those utility blades holder tho 😍😈🏴☠️
I bet TSA was like oh greattttt. This guy….
I can tell by experience.. that most of this wont go through everywhere in the world ^^
You should get the "gotcha cap" they say it's TSA approved.
They took an exchange a blade from me that didn’t have a blade in it so maybe not the fast back
Good video! Hope you enjoy your visit...Hope you do not get a hard-a** tsa person when you return home...
It always boggles me on how much stuff people wanna take on a plane.
I kinda get the whole habit thing. But there is zero chance that from luggage drop off to luggage pick up, you will need any of your normal gear.
Some people only have carry on luggage
@@T-Mo_ Sure. But over the course of this weekend trip (in this case), your not going to need all this different gear. Now blade show (and related stuff) is a bit of a different beast as its for the people who love all this gear. But like, come on.
If I fly I want me carry on to be sufficient if my main bag is lost so having EDC items in there is essential personally.
Domestic or International?

The Bahco mini ratchet?

A scissors are not allowed at Narita international airport. Nice video thou

Custom jetsetter? Want! Where! How much!
The kit is easy to find on Ali express
man in carrying his whole lifestory on the airplane
In taiwan they took my jetsetter for small scissors i asked them if they would stop being such pssys
Omg Oliver overkill
Excellent video
Scissors can be 4 inches. it's crazy.
Waiting for the show videos
Your experience going home could be very different

🎉🎉🎉sweet 🎉🎉🎉
You are giving the TSA too much credit...
yeah, you got through security, but you wasted staff time and everyone's time too for the time it took them to go throughout crap.
I guess the TSA doesn’t realize that if you really know how to use a pair of pliers correctly, you could definitely open up someone’s jugular vein with pliers.😂
If your name was Muhammad and you carried these through TSA ...
Weak
My 6 year old is turning 7 in a few weeks he has requested a leatherman style ps . It looks pretty cool
Awesome choice
