Hey! Yes, I recently purchased a 2013,C250 sedan and I’m trying to honestly gather as much information on it as possible, I must say what a smooth and responsive driving vehicle
Shopping for a c350, crazy they cost the same as a Honda civic for the same year. Yes, understand I may be looking at an average of 1k repair a year not including maintenance. That’s the problem looking for a nice c class, most peopled delayed repairs or if done by the backyard mechanic using Duralast parts.😢
Man, I have a C-class Mercedes for 8 years. I haven't changed anything and the car is perfect like the first day it came out of the factory. I don't know how more reliable a lexus or acura can be.
I wish more people thought like you. Right away people have the balls to say their Hyundai is better than MBZ, Audi and BMW just because their Hyundai is chocked full of tech one might not really use and those things don't really make the car better. I'd take a base Benz like this simply because of the solidity, safety, stellar ride and handling and refinement. Sure it will cost me a bit more in the long run but it'll be a nice ride for a very long time.
I love my C250 Coupe, after 2 Audis and 1 BMW I can say MB is the best interior, best command center and Stereo system with the Harman Kardon. Audi is the best on curves and BMW is the best on engine power and has more interior and trunk space. For my daily drive the C250 is great, fuel efficient and fast on mid range speed and thats what you need driving to the office and back home! Awesome AMG seats standard for all coupes!
Beginning with the 2012 model year nav was standard on all C classes. No leather stitching because it's MB-Tex (vinyl) interior. Leather is one of those many options that this car has.
I literally this week, picked up a 2014 E300 4Matic Sport Sedan, ( fully loaded ) and I swear, the entire is so refined and high-end, it's like this face-lifted W204 C-Class is a shrunken E Class inside. I love BMW's too, and my G37x was more fun on the road than a basket full of Dalmations on Mtn Dew ( lol ) but Mercedes REALLY knocked it out of the park in value for this Model. I'll be honest enough as a Car Guy to say the 3 Series and G is a bit more involving, but the Quality, solidity of the chassis, and interior refinement of the Benz make up for that small deficit. Take care guys! :)
Well lets see, just purchased a 2013 C250 Sport. Ride is great and on the stiff side wonderful handling. Between the turbo and the 7 speed trans the power is effortless. Acceleration is very nice and so quick. Still have not used the Sport mode, haven't needed it. Steering is quick and nimble. Turn signal stalk is exactly where it should be. Love this car and it is going to the window tint guy soon.
Muhammad Harris Ejaz I don’t think so American cars are bad but not as bad as the German cars 🤣 I mean my uncle has 4 f150 2001 and still running like new he stilll take them to Mexico fully loaded and never break on him my dad had a expedition not a single issue either 🤷🏻♂️ I never own a Mercedes but I did own a bmw that make me never buy one ever again
love, love this car. I feel so connected and open the sunroof vroom.. I hate the fact it has low ground clearance and the majority of C250s i've seen on the road have damage airdams. 20,000 miles still going strong and turbooo.
I mostly see damaged air dams only in Miami. Funny, everyone else has figured out how to use the neat little camera in the dash and they back their cars in.
The last time I drove a C300 was back in 2010 and I recall not being too impressed with it. I found the engine to be somewhat ordinary and it felt dated. The updates Mercedes made to this 2012 model make the car feel fresh again and I much preferred this C250 with its smaller 1.8L turbo engine.
***** actually YOU do your homework. if you wanna get technical, this guy is american as am I, and they don't sell the A or B class here. and actually NO! wrong - the CLA is $450 cheaper than the GLA.
+Dan Sullivan +VinAr Run Well you both are correct and wrong. The videos from March 2013. The CLA didn't start selling in the EU till April 2013 and the US till September 2013. At the time the cheapest in the US was the C-class and Europe as said above. You think your smart trying to up a reviewer on a 3 year old video. Ego much.
any trouble with command center ?? My radio does not work - no volume. Checked reset, fuses. Still nada. Hearing fiberoptics and expensive repair. Anyone, anyone ????
I like the redesign of the interior of the 2012-13 models. The interior of the previous models got many complaints of being too cheap looking. I would love to have a C350 with a back exterior and beige interior with the sport package.
Note that the turn-signal stalk and cruise control stalk is now reversed on the MY2013 model. I used to have a MY2009 C250 and now a MY2013 C350. Much easier to hit now it's higher than the cruise stalk, which is also now shorter (hence harder to accidentally hit)
I think its a great idea to keep the indicator stalk lower. It should be much more comfortable while on the highway. It allows you to change lanes and toggle the high beams while resting your left arm on the arm rest completely. There was a moment when driving on the highway for hours this week in my Mazda when I thought how practical it would be to have the indicator stalk slightly lower down. Any thoughts?
I love these W204s. I test drove a W203 C280 and thought it was a great little premium car. Firm yet comfy ride, quiet, smooth engine and trans, overall good quality interior despite numerous quality issues and solid feel. I hope I can own a C300 in the near future.
I have a 2015 C250 Coupe..good mpg, fun to drive, good braking and steering and it has been very reliable. The Turbo four makes a good amount of flat power in a wide band of RPM.
2012 AMG PKG, ONLY thing I take issues is, there are HUGE BLINDSPOTS when backing up and the rear cameras seem distorted to distances. But other than that- 34-37mpg in eco, I love it. -2024
I used to like it when you held the camera POV. It's too static now and we don't get as good a view of everything you describe! Nice reviews keep it up.
Sofyan, Would you trade a 2010 C300 4matic Luxury for this one, a 2012 C250 Sport? Do you believe the C250 has a better engine than the C300 or should I rather go for the bigger engine? Value your professional opinion on this one. Thanks a million.
noticed you when back to the old way of doing reviews! Great! I liked the old way much better than the new way (hated the camera work for the Acura RLX)
I am seriously considering replacing my Infiniti with a C350 or a CLA. We will have to see. But I absolutely LOVE driving all the new Mercedes cars. Just solid, and smooth.
I brought this car on a impulse buy 2 years later this car has grown on me now it's a 2013 sport model. Pickup passing power love it. And rides so smooth and quiet. It's more of my weekend car or road trip ride for me. Since I did buy Pre owned came with backup camera and navigation. If I ever get rid of this car Mazda 6 2016 I would think about a swapout. I like simple dashes not so busy and this car has that feel to it and look inside. One gripe would be bigger backseat which I never gonna be back there. I always feel I am driving on clouds.
The earlier face lifted C Class models have their indicator stalk there like it is shown in the video, but the later face lifted models have their indicator stalk where the cruise control of the earlier face lifted models
Actually the body style was released halfway through 2007. I remember it was February and I stopped by the MB dealership to see a load of these sexy looking cars(looked better than any other 2007 rival) and that I wanted one when I got older. Well, now the 3-series and A4 have gotten better. Just have to wait for MB to completely redesign the C-class again. Great video! :)
Thanks for the well wishes. The car is unique in that there aren't many out there. The poor resale value doesn't bother me as it is not my intent to resell the car. I am aware of the increased risk in issues with finding parts if/when something breaks but I have not had problems with my 9-3 so I'm willing to take the risk.
Well you do make a good point there. Certain German cars should be better in the reliability category but I honestly think (and this is in my personal experience) that German cars aren't as unreliable as many say and Japanese cars aren't as reliable as many claim especially the ones made after 2000 when cost cutting became prevalent.
Glad I got the Coupe. I got mine in May used 2nd hand, the interior in the coupe is even better. I got leather stitched bucket seats that look 1000x better than the 4 door, the inside doors look way better, the backseat looks amazing, and it has paddle shifters, that this 4 door doesn't seem to have. Now planning the turbo upgrade to push it to 350HP. Oh and the only thing that is probably a bad thing about the Coupe or all coupes in general, is the rear visibility. I always had a 4 door so I had to get adjusted to the limited visibility. But it makes up for it.
Totally agree on upgraded interior. I myself am looking for a 2 door used between 2012 and 2014. Less than 60,000 miles. One owner. I’ll find one. Just be patient. I want to keep my 2012 sport 4 door model. Just too happy with it.
oh gurl... of course you had XM BPM playing on the radio. haha great review, I was actually considering a C Class but then I found an amazing deal on a 2010 Saab 9-5 and thought it would be nicer to have something that is very unique.
I think he's referring to US models. When the 2014 CLA comes out, the CLA will be the cheapest way to get to Mercedes. The C 250 starts at $35,000 while the CLA will start at $29,000.
With the 2013 3 Series, BMW recently made the sunroof an option on lesser trim 3 Series and the 1 Series I believe always had it as an option. Cadillac also goes the way of making you pay extra for a sunroof on the ATS and only makes it standard on the highest trim of the CTS. The others (Mercedes included) all have a sunroof as standard. If I had the money I think I'd take an Audi A4 Quattro 6 speed with the Premium Plus package.
I have bought a c250 cdi amg sports + model and it's looks great inside out and drive's superb you can feel the power although it's a 2.2 engine but it's great.
I beg to differ. I have a relative who purchased a 09 Camry in the same time I got my 09 Outlander (both new). That relative has nearly spent close to $2000 of that in unscheduled maintenance alone in her 4 years ownership. My Outlander only had 2 unscheduled garage visits in my 4 year ownership, one for bad fuel sensor and another for a loose heatshield...
If you are purchasing a Mercedes, you are better be willing to pay. The prestige and build quality is what you're paying for here, not fancy toys. If you want good value, get a Hyundai or Honda. I want to note though, a C300 comes considerably better equipped for 4~5 grand more (also adds 4matic AWD). Could be worth some consideration if you can afford it or drive in snowy parts.
I have an 01' CL 600, and I know what you mean about the long hood and wide feel of Mercedes-Benz vehicles the steering is a bit devoid of feel but it goes very precise through corners and it gets awful fuel economy but the power is fairly good
if you take care of the car the C250SL Mercedes Benz 4 door sedan with the w204 four cylinder turbocharged ingain you won't have any problems with it ,I take care of mine and bought it in 2012 and it's perfectly Fine to this Day .jjm in Montgomery Alabama Sent
There was a C250 in Canada for quite some time. At first it was called the C230 but renamed to C250 in 2010. It had a sluggish 2.5L V6 (200hp) and was even offered with 4Matic. A friend of mine has one and even when you fully depress the accelerator nothing seems to happen. The 7AT in these Mercs are smooth but slow as hell.
+Jonathan Haddad i just responded to you about my car, however im assuming for the benz it's the same. my advice i always give to people before buying a luxury car is to have atleast 1.5k saved up for repairs, don't spend all of your money. something eventually is going to go wrong, it's just a matter of when, which is why you need to have the money saved up. don't get me wrong these are great cars and rarely go wrong.
+Jonathan Haddad I bought a 2013 C300 4MATIC new in 2012. Having put about 55k miles on the car thus far, I've had zero problems aside from performing its recommended maintenance service. It's truly been an amazing car. If you are thinking of buying a C300 (or any Mercedes model), I highly recommend buying pre-owned with low miles. They are offering an unlimited-mile warranty on all Mercedes Certified Pre-owned. I'm actually considering trading in my current c300 for a pre-owned at the moment because my factory warranty is expired. So I'd be able to drive the car over 50k miles and have a peace of mind of not having to worry about any major, expensive repairs.
There's a decent amount of proprietary electronics that you might not be able to repair yourself, and in my experience the A/C condenser cracked somehow (that might be an isolated incident though). I'd invest in an OBD2 tool.
You can't make a bad decision with any of them as they're all good. All it boils down to is what exactly you want in a car. I think I'd take one of these or the 328i with SP.
It seems as if owners of German cars have mixed reviews concerning reliability. The majority of W204 owners love the reliability of the car especially when compared to the W203. As for the higher up models some people say meh some say it was fantastic.
I thought i needed a rear camera at first but i learned to park without it. Push button is nice to have and i'd rather have it but it's not that much of a big deal than having a key start the car. Heated seats, i never even use. It doesn't heat the seats that well, you can't even tell the difference unless maybe if you drive in the nude.
please review and test drive the new 328i sport line! it is definately my dream car right now haha. affordable, powerful, practical, fun, AND efficient.
I just test-drove a couple of diesel variants of this w204 model ( here in the UK, where 80% of the cars from this era are diesels. Coming from a Lexus is250 -I really liked the steering and the handling of the C-class, the comfort and the overall posture on the road that it possess. But i just could not put up with the diesel rattling, especially on idling and on low speeds, constant rattling and reverberation and vibration. Even thought the low lev power and acceleration ( especially on the 6 cylinder diesel) - is tremendous and mind blowing. But it is really a pity that here in the UK the biggest petrol engine this face lifted version if the C-class has been offered - was the 1.6 liter 153hp engine...such a shame
Is anyone watching this in 2024?

Cadillac also goes the way of making you pay extra for a sunroof on the ATS and only makes it standard on the highest trim of the CTS. The others (Mercedes included) all have a sunroof as standard. If I had the money I think I'd take an Audi A4 Quattro 6 speed with the Premium Plus package.
GREAT REVIEW BRO.IM LOOKING INTO GETTING THIS VERY MODEL.STILL IM UNDESISIVE.THINKING ABOUT IT STILL 😎 👍 👌
Great review. He covered it all
Izbh
😐😑😕😐😁
Also another good Mercedes is the C63 2009-2014 a naturally aspirated v8 engine, amazing sound you guys should check it out
I have bought a c250 cdi amg sports + model and it's looks great inside out and drive's superb you can feel the power although it's a 2.2 engine but it's great.
Definitely try to upgrade to the C 350!
+AP Car&Tech - Will this car have a lot of problems ?
nope! So far I haven't had any problems with my C 350 coupe.
+AP Car&Tech i have c63 amg and bmw m6 all of thes are good cars
BMW M power Yeah!
The car my grandma randomly bought before she died. Kinda makes me want one.
How is The Maintenance On The C250????
Extremely high???
Yes, Jarred. Extremely high.
I have a 2012 c300 love it and do a video review of the 2004 c class you drove
Commonly referred to as options. If you want heated seats I recommend letting them know, they will add it in for a small fee.
Is it reliable tho?
Does anyone know if this car is known to have any reliability issues or if the repairs for this car is redundant and in abundance? Thanks
+dgrkboy that warranty is only unlimited miles for 1 year or 2 years if you get the extended warranty so its not as great as it sounds
There's a decent amount of proprietary electronics that you might not be able to repair yourself, and in my experience the A/C condenser cracked somehow (that might be an isolated incident though).
I'd invest in an OBD2 tool.
C-class is the only entry-level luxury car that I like.
there's no a or b class in the USA...however the A class variant called the CLA should arrive here sometime in a few months
Are these reliable or should instick to the v6
Very insightful
Yeah, you are also right. There was a sport version too.
You can't make a bad decision with any of them as they're all good. All it boils down to is what exactly you want in a car. I think I'd take one of these or the 328i with SP.
I have leather but no heated seats and its SO cold!
does the seat go up higher for shorter people ??
It seems as if owners of German cars have mixed reviews concerning reliability. The majority of W204 owners love the reliability of the car especially when compared to the W203. As for the higher up models some people say meh some say it was fantastic.
I thought i needed a rear camera at first but i learned to park without it. Push button is nice to have and i'd rather have it but it's not that much of a big deal than having a key start the car. Heated seats, i never even use. It doesn't heat the seats that well, you can't even tell the difference unless maybe if you drive in the nude.
iDrive? also, I'm sick of these reviewers not testing everything, thanks for the partial review
I agree with everything you said, but the turbo lag in Econ mode drives me nuts.
please review and test drive the new 328i sport line! it is definately my dream car right now haha. affordable, powerful, practical, fun, AND efficient.
2024 lets go
When you do your test drive reviews can you turn on your headlights when you drive i like to pay attention to the Gage cluster. Thanks!
I own a C class 250 2012 and I love it. Mine does have a back camera.
Oh! Mine is fully loaded, with heated seat, sun roof all the bells and whistles. Pre owned. Love it!
From this year model and up. What year is more reliable?? Anyone??
Should I get a C class sedan or G sedan?
