For those wondering "Why didn't Michael just teleport away??" please note he was in a bad situation. It's clear he was on fight-or-flight reflexes only. We see that with him trying to run, flight. When running didn't work he tried to kick him, fight. He only thinks about the fact he can teleport when he clears his head enough to think better, we see that when he has a clear thought of needing to get out, he cleared his head enough to know to teleport away. One's brain does not process well when under a lot of stress or in a horrible situation. They make dumb decisions in those moments because all their brain is telling them is to run or fight, not letting them get a proper thought in due to instincts running wild. Please, give Michael the benefit of the doubt. He is in fact still a human despite being dead. He still THINKS like a human. He still has the same mental instincts as a human. Same physical instincts. He is still a human person who happens to be awake but not alive. He functions differently now but that doesn't stop your instincts when in these situations.

When in stressful situations ones brain doesn't immediately think of all possibilities. It's either fight or flight reflexes, and typically our flight reflexes are to run not teleport. Michael likely was too afraid of what his grandfather was about to do to think of teleporting. It's not a normal human response to think of. That's often why people will make dumb decisions when they are in bad situations.
