I attended this event one day in 2005, although the games happened over 3 days. Calcio Fiorentino was held back when the Medicis ran Florence. It was revived by Mussolini. It starts with a large musical parade by a band in colorful Renaissance uniforms. They left that part out, unfortunately. Then the game begins. It's sort of like a cross between A Clockwork Orange and Rocky. Italian ultra-violence. The day I was there one player was left in a coma. Not really fit for kids, although mine were there watching. I heard that many of the players are released from prison to participate in the games. That seemed believable.
GRANDE GIANO.
Ma grande cosa?
Lapi super dotato!
DE LO MEJOR QUE HE VISTO
