I want to learn how to play bass guitar, i actually have this Exact matt guitar in my cart right now! Thank you for this review!! I'm so glad i ran across this Thumbs up 👍🏽
Awesome! For the price, you really can't go wrong. Thanks for the comment and checking out my channel!
Did you get it? I guess they are sold out now.
I got it before they sold out 👍🏽
Thank you for your review, Timothy.
No prob! Glad you liked it!
"Fast acting Ktaxon" love it haha
Great review! Thank you.
No prob! Glad you liked it! Great Bass for the money!
I played a tiny bit in the 90s, but didn't stick with it. I ordered the flame top. I thought I'd give it another go. Just ordered this one with a little amp. Can't wait to give it a go. Thanks for the review.
Awesome! yeah, get back into it...even if it's just a hobby to do a little bit here and there!
18:42 That little scuff is probably why it's an unbranded Ktaxon instead one with Glarry branding and a slightly higher price. I heard ones that don't pass quality control for Glarry gets sold as Ktaxon.
That makes sense. I prefer the blank headstock. GLARY doesn't sound very bad ass!
Nope. The shape is different. Ktaztons have the bottle opener cut out by the strap button. Glarrys do not.
I really like the shape of the body and the matte black paint.
You can treat it especially foe the price.
Entunishment sounds like a good metal band name.
Did I say that? it does. I like unpronounceable metal bands and listening to people, including myself try to take a stab at saying it.
Just ordered one of these, $73.09, hope if comes as good as yours. 😁🌿🔥
I would assume! They're not perfect, but pretty nice for the money. After having mine for a while now, my only complaint is that the neck is a bit of a baseball bat. meaning it's a little girthy toward the headstock. I don't have big hands so it's a bit of a stretch to play the first 4 frets in the proper position.
dude ha got a 20 dollar coupon on ebay on this thing got it today damn its sweet thinking back years ago paying 400 for a steinberger
and getting this for under 80 bucks is a steal threw my red dio sticker on this and ill get some black strings and this will be sick !
I paid 400 for my Spectre (wanted the Steinberger) 20 years ago and I feel the same way. Sure the Spectre is a better bass, but at more than 4 times as much. I can record a bass track with either using the same amp and I can only slightly tell the difference. I was thinking of going the sticker route, seing you can't really polish the matte body. Maybe I still will. Looking at a Jazz Bass clone next.
There's just nothing like the excitement of opening up a box with your new Guitar inside. I've experienced this 5 times so far. It never gets old. 😂
Oh I totally agree! It's like a drug.
yea i rember last year when i picked up trying to learn bass i looked at these but grabbed the donner instead maybe illl treat myself again this xmas as they got a sweet sunset one but idk i like that black too ha
They're cheap enough. you could get one to match all of your shoes.
I just order the Glarry version I wish I knew they have the matt black.
Yeah, the matte black only seemed to be in the Ktaxon version, but the gloss is cool too! I was just at Guitar center this afternoon for my son's guitar lesson and I was playing some of the Squires and Ibanez/Jackson $200-$300 basses and hands down my $90 Ktaxon blows them all away in my opinion.
Thanks for the review! I will probably be buying this for my son who wants to learn. I cannot find the flat black though, only gloss :( oh well.
Sure thing! Yeah...you're right. They must have sold out. I saw a lot of these cheap guitars going fast this weekend. They sold out of both guitars my son and I were looking at.
Also wanted to see how balanced it is standing up and playing
It does dive a bit. I rarely stand and play so I don't notice, but a good leather strap with a swede interior and it pretty much stays put.
I bought a pound and a half of tire balance weights from Harbor Freight and stuck them in the control cavity. No more dive after that.
@mikehicks3090 I prefer the lightness of it. I'm old and get tired quickly, so the lighter, the better. I have a decent strap that keeps it in place. I usually sit down most of the time, so it doesn't move much. Speaking of which. I need to start moving more. I've become too sedentary.
@@Mastabas2112 yeah, I totally get that, for sure. I actually kind of prefer the opposite, though - I want a bit of weight, a bit of heft to my basses - adding those weights put the total weight at just a shade over 8 pounds, which is still about a pound and a half less than my Peavey Grind, and a hell of a lot less than the heaviest bass I ever owned, which was a Traben Phoenix. I'm in my 50's myself, so I totally get the physical limitations, I guess it's just a "feel" thing for me.
@@mikehicks3090Definitely a feel thing. Some people complain about the "baseball bat" neck on these basses, but I actually kind of prefer it. It's weird. I like a feather-weight light bass with a big honking neck. Sounds counter-intuitive, but it works for me for some reason.
Link to buy please.

Was hoping to hear it played with a little "stank" on it to really hear it
I'll play more soon. I live in an apartment, so it's hard to crank it. I can't seem to get my AI to cooperate, but I could put my condenser mic up against my amp on my desk, which I intended to do with my New Orange Crush Sanna craws may or may not bring. My description of the sound has not changed. It's bright and trebly with a bit of Aluminum can (tinny) to it. It reminds me of a low end Jackson bass. It's not my favorite sound, but for 90 bones, I find it doable.
Well if this wasn't the most pointless 45+ minute video..
Glarry
Insane in the membrain
I haven't got a son, but I had a few cars in my lifetime, d'you know?! Namastè.
I got a glarry wish i would have got this. I am trying to oil the neck on Glarry and work on the frets.
Which Glary did you get? I think Ktaxxon is the same company, maybe not.
@@Mastabas2112 The one that looks like a B.C. Rich black one 115$ the pick ups are nice but the neck needs work. I'm going try and clean you the action and the frets.
@@anarchychicken69 I got mine set up professionally and it's pretty smooth. He said, mine didn't need a lot of filing, just a couple or minor burs. I've been playing the same Spector for 20 years, so I've been spoiled. Honestly, all the hyper-focus on fretboards and such was never a thing until seeing people online talk about it. back in the day, we just bought guitars, maybe adjusted the action and tuned them up.
@@Mastabas2112 totally agree I really worked on the action. I just got two frets that are always dead. Yeah I've never had to deal with the fretboard before. Had a nice fender p and it never had any problems no matter how low the action was. Start the truss rod it's not bridge. I'll fix it I'm not going to file a lot.
@@anarchychicken69 The Truss rod should move, it's probably just being stubborn. You kind of have to man-handle them sometimes!
