Poor Bikira looks unsettled. Always looking over her shoulder, staying away from potential aggression. Bet she misses her boys, They seem a bit distant from her now. I know Nuru loves the baby & being close to him. Kiburi is a teen hitting puberty, Sure it is nothing personal. Moja was her BFF, then they boys. Moja left, boys are drifting. Then seems she is alone once again. The boys were so cute playing and showing affection with Bikira and she craved and needs that. She seems so isolated to me. Maybe I'm wrong, just wish she had a stable friend to feel more accepted and loved. She seems to have little peace or feel secure. Sad to me because she is just so guileless and sweet.
Bikira’s tortuous existence breaks my heart. I don’t understand why she wasn’t moved instead of Moja. The keepers knew how badly she was treated. Why didn’t they move her? If a male gorilla is aggressive it is relocated.
