- Hey guys, here is my video showing you how to make rainbow buttercream icing...mmm edible rainbows!! it's super simple and looks great on cupcakes!! Give it a go!

Your cupcakes are great but I have a easier way to put all your colors in the bag that is less messy. Take syran wrap, put your colors side by side then roll the syran wrap into a long roll. Twist the ends. Cut one end and slip that end into your piping bad. When your out of icing just pull the empty syran wrap out and you can add another roll or put your bag inside out and take your top out and throw away your bag and wash the tip. No mess.

I just wondered why u dont do it using cling film by spreading sections of coloured icing on it then make a sausage then put that in the piping bag. its much easier x
And here i was thinking foodtube was PG... oh how wrong i was. Those innuendos.. xD
YASSS! I'm going to use this technique and flavor each of the icings tropical flavors, like pineapple and coconut, give it a splash of rum and make rainbow pina colada cupcakes!

your cupcakes look awesome, i need some advice on how to cover a 8inch round cake with fondent to get the chrisp edges..... i love the rainbow icing i think its awesome how would i cover a large cake with that type of icing without making it too heavy on the icing?????

If I want crisp edges and corners on my cakes I usually go for buttercream. It tastes better for a start! If you wanted to cover your cake in rainbow buttercream then you are definitely going to be using a lot! However if you were to cover your cake in smooth buttercream but then blobbed little blobs of different coloured buttercream and then, with a straight cake scraper, smoothed it round, you would smear all the colours on to the sides and that might look really cool!

i've seen people put each colour in a smaller piping bag, and put all those in a larg piping bag like yours. uses a lot of bags but seems less faffy and messy!

GG awesome but also wilton has a three color swirl coupler but I like this better because u can use 1000000 colors instead of 3
