Sometimes, it just feels we only have the bandwidth to maintain our friendships. And then its also seeing your friends leave and drift apart as they go on their own paths. With very little hope remained and huge fears tagged along, I thought my life was over at late 20s. Little as I expected, I have strangely built my new version within my family dynamic, one new beautiful friendship and another new lover. Ebbs and flows have been constant and extreme, but trust me, trust the energy of this video, step by step, we would figure life out ❤
I didn’t realize how much I needed this video until I watched it. It really resonates with what I’m going through right now-feeling lonely and sad, like I don’t have any friends. Why did this hit so deep. It's like idk what to say. That feeling of happiness and joy you get when you come across someone who finally "get's" you, that one friend who is truly genuine to you unlike the acquaintances in your life who walk with masks in their face, which leads to perhaps one of the best memorable days or months of your life. But then there is that immense pain which comes when we reach that inevitable fork in the road where our paths have to diverge, that feeling of emptiness and uncertainty after, was this all real, will we ever get to meet them again, am I going to be alone for the rest of my life. But that is life I guess, you have say your goodbye's when you have to, hit the road, treasure the memories you have, and chug along - if we were meant to meet again, surely enough our paths might converge again, but if not - that open road is just miles and miles of adventure ahead, right. As someone going through their 20s Thank you Megan for this vid :)
It's funny but a little sad how we want to experience that childhood friendship filled with innocence every time we make a new friend but as we grow older we realize that nothing can match it. I feel like I found this video at a very right time. Past few weeks I've struggled so much with this topic. I feel like all my friends have drifted apart. Life happens as you grow up. I get it but it's still it's a difficult pill to swallow. I feel like whatever connections I've made at work are one sided (they really are not, these people love me alot genuinely i can feel it) but past few weeks were so tough. The one person who made me feel okay and happy and safe got busy with her life and problems. I just cried myself to sleep a few nights. I just read a comment that said it's okay. It happens. That people come and go. You should thank them for stopping by, for loving you. I will work on that. I'm glad I stumbled upon this video because the comments Gave me a great deal of comfort knowing I'm not the only one who thinks like they're being left behind.
The past year or so have been a huge challenge for me when it came to relationships, friendships and a sense of belonging and watching this made me feel a huge wave of emotions aka crying a lil whilst typing this comment. Like a friend giving you a warm, genuine hug that makes you feel like everything's going to be okay. Thank you for this and huuuge fan of this collab and thank you for inspiring.
