The middle's thrashy sound is my favorite part and I can agree that the chorus is the weakest part of the song. Beyond Oblivion has the catchiest chorus of the ones I have heard so far.
x666xIronMaiden my personal favorite chorus on the album is from The Revanchist. Have you heard that one? If not, I suggest you give that a listen. Beyond Oblivion is awesome too as well as Thrown Into The Fire.
thrown into the fire and the wretchedness inside are definitely tracks you should listen to from this new album. They are soo good. much like the old trivium
Yay! Happy to see you've come around to some of the sound of the new album! Definitely still check out Beyond Oblivion, fave track from the new album! :)
I'd like your thoughts on Frostrite by Borknagar, and Flaskeskipper by ICS Vortex! ICS is one of my favourite vocalists besides Mikael Akerfeldt and Hevy Devy
there are a million and one talented shredders out there...almost a foregone conclusion. I always listen to the drums first, bass second( I know , shocker), vocals, THEN guitars/keys. As a musician , and more importantly, a music lover, a lesser talented instrumentalist or singer can literally be carried by a rock solid rhythm section, there are 100s of examples of that in every genre. And you are right about bass players . I still resent post Cliff Metallica music ( I blame James and Lars). By burying Jason, they created a whole generation of bands with bassist that just occupy space. 100s of them. After making so much headway, bass got sonically buried in the mix of most 90s & 2000s metal bands, and the bass lines might as well be digital.....Don't let me get started with djent!
man, I haven't listened to trivium since they put out Shogun. seems to me they still sound like trivium, so that's nice :3.
