This is one of those rare moments when Bollywood actually made a masterpiece, and now the audience is appreciating it once again! I haven't heard of Rahi Anil Barve before this film, but after watching Tumbbad have become an absolute fan. Directors like him are the main reason we still get to see these gems on a big screen. Just give the man a good script and a proper budget and he'll do wonders. Can't wait for part 2 🔥

I still remember the day I watched it and thought it was a blockbuster film I was unaware of but then got to know it didn't do that well and was upset bout it NOW THAT FINALLY IT'S BEING RE-RELISED I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED.............ONE OF THE BESTEST OF THE INDIAN CINEMAS .............BEST WISHES FOR THE FILM(AND WILL WATCH IT IN THE THEATRE😊😊)

Actually it is alternate ending Where panduranga drags Vinayak out of wada and then Indian government interferes in this

The film has no new footage or alternate ending..... everything is exactly same. Only the monologue of Soham Shah in the ending for Tumbbad 2.
But in theatre every shot looks fresh and new....
@@manishhkr Just because you didn't notice, doesn't mean its not there. The original runtime of tumbbad back 2018 was 1hr 44mins. The re-release has a runtime of 1hr 53mins. Sohum Shah's monologue and tumbbad 2 announcement is barely 50 seconds to 1 minute long. Which means there are 8min worth of additional shots and scenes added to the movie. The reason why most people didn't notice it is because these are very small and miniscule shots or scenes that don't change or affect the overall story. And it very much possible for them to add new footage as the original cut of the movie is 3hr 20mins long. They have more than enough material to show. The reason I was able to point out new scenes in this trailer is because I've seen the movie 27 times.

at 1:52 The shot of Vinayak walking to the house with jerry can and lantern is not there in the original cut. It is there but as a wide angle side shot. This is a new camera angle.
at 1:55 This close up shot of Sarkar's cremation was not there in the original cut. In original cut, the cremation was shown in the distance from Vinayak's moms perspective.
at 2:05 This particular camera angle of Vinayak climbing the rope was not in the original cut.
at 2:06 This entire frame of someone dragging a body with a lantern in hand is an alternate ending that Sohum Shah has described in his interview. Where instead of burning his father, pandurang decides to bring him back home. So he decides to drags Vinayak's zombified body back to home and on their way, they encounter a indian Governments cars convoy going towards tumbbad to claim that land as government property.
This alternate ending was something Sohum Shah did not liked and decided to change the ending for the original cut. Now it makes sense to have the alternate ending as it sets up Tumbbad 2 more easily and very effectively. Plus Sohum has clearly said that he will be in the sequel as well. In order for him to be there, his character has to survive in the end of tumbbad.
While this new shot is there in this trailer, it is still yet to be seen that if he would actually show the alternate ending in the theatres or not.
