Just sat for my exam about 30mins ago and I want to thank you for your help. I really love how you explained why every answers were right and wrong. Going through Udemy courses did help with understanding what AWS was about but your playlist gives a better understanding of what the exam looks like. Tips like eliminating obvious wrong answers, least operational overhead, keywords (I had about three questions each on KMS and AWS secrets manager) and about 5/6 questions from this August dump. I'll go watch your labs videos as I could use some hands on experience. My results isn't out yet but I'm confident. Thank you once again.

For #930, the question says that the employee portal needs to have 100% uptime but the document upload program runs infrequently. So, wouldn't the Savings plan fit more appropriately? Also, it says they don't want to make any code changes and the application is already being developed, so choosing option A will mandatorily require a code change. Can you please check and advice?

Hello, I'm kinda confused by the answers for question # 931. Option A mentions 'IAM resource policy' ('IAM policy' + 'resource policy', or what's that?), which doesn't look like a correct term and causes confusion to me.. For option D, EventBridge looks like an unnecessary addition to the existing solution since Lambda can be invoked by SNS directly?

Thank you so much. today I passed my AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam. Tips to pass this exam - 1. Grab basic/high level knowledge on AWS like what is IAM,Lamda,ECS,Kinesis,SQS,SNS,EKS,Organisation etc.- Go watch any Indian RUclips channel(dont spend much time). 2. Watch Sthithapragna AWS Solution Architect -Associate playlist, listen carefully and remember the tips he is giving to catch the question. 3. Watch the same playlist again with 1.5X speed - This is needed to remember the keywords and try to pause and answer the question to check if u remembered the keyword. 4. Now focus on attending the Question dumps - Note down the wrong answer and check your mistakes and try to remember the keyword. 5. Watch again the playlist with 2X speed, by this time you should be knowing all the keyword to catch in the questions. 6. 1-2 days before your exam date , attend all the question dump. If you still failing in few question, try to memorise those(which I dont think will be needed, as his explanation is so clear.).
Step 1 above is only needed if you have less time to clear the Certification like me. Otherwise attend his practical playlist, I have not attended(bcoz lack of time) but I am sure it must be awesome. Guys, I tried to attend different course in different topics but I always end up with the way an Indian guy explain, I feel they got special skill in finding the Quick, best and clear solution for any topic. For this Certification too, On Udemy there is an over hyped paid course/Author which I dont want name, but I am sure those who are preparing for this exam must have guessed it. I can bet to anyone, it is impossible to pass this exam with that course alone. And then comes STHITHPRAGNA - A calm, composed, Polite guy, explaining all the concepts so clearly that even a kid can write this exam. And all these FREEEEEEEE I really want to contribute a small amount as a token of appreciation, Kindly accept and let me know how can I transfer. I also want to appeal everyone who passed this exam because of this channel must whole heartedly contribute.. Thank you man you are saviour..
my guess says that udemy one is SM , cuz i went crazy with the rushed videos and the inability to justify the why and what in depth.. i feel so much more confident now watching these practice questions after 8 months of learning from 3 courses and couple of sample quizzes i paid for and still scored less which got very overwhelming to point of losing interest.. these videos finally helped me gain my confidence back.. waiting for the exam day !! :)

#934 S3 File gateway - Configured s3 buckets are accessible using the NFS and SMB protocol . An without any config - it is multiAZ. It is plausible option. You dismissed it too easy. Great job btw :)
Hi, thanks for the video! I am a little confused about #929. Answer D seems to be included in answer A ,so it's irrelevant. (If you create the SNS policy to allow the lambda to publish in SNS with least privilege you already defined the lambda ARN in the policy) Also, I think you need to update the KMS Key Policy to allow SNS and lambda to use it, so answer C seems to be correct. In my understanding, KMS Key policies are specials resource based policies that deny all by default. Updating the Lambda execution policy to use KMS Key (answer F) has no effect until you update KMS key policy to allow Lambda (and SNS ) to use it. I vote fore Answer A, C, F
I think the Best answer would be A,C,D because: Option F could work but isn't as precise or as aligned with the question's focus on securing access to customer-managed KMS keys through explicit key policies. Option C gives direct control over the KMS key's usage, making it a more suitable solution in this context. So, while F is technically correct, the best practice in this scenario is to use Option C for more explicit and secure key management, along with A and D for handling the SNS topic permissions. 1. IAM role vs. KMS Key Policy: AWS KMS permissions can be granted either via an IAM role (like in option F) or directly via a KMS key policy (like in option C). For critical services like KMS-managed keys used with sensitive data (such as PHI), it is often considered more secure and explicit to control permissions at the KMS key policy level, which is more fine-tuned and granular. This is why Option C (adding the Lambda permission to the key's policy) is preferred over simply adding permissions to the Lambda execution role (Option F). 2. Explicit Policy Management: KMS key policies are the default and recommended way of granting access to KMS keys. Using key policies provides more control and ensures that only specific resources (like the Lambda function) have access to the encryption key. By relying only on the Lambda's IAM execution role, there could be a lack of direct control on which specific key is being used, and IAM role policies can become complex when there are many roles or services involved. 3. Focus of the Question: The question is asking for a solution where you explicitly control the access to customer-managed KMS keys, which Option C addresses more directly by attaching a policy to the KMS key itself. I also have problem with selecting option D as AWS System manager parameter store does not support rotation of keys.

Tips to pass this exam - 1. Grab basic/high level knowledge on AWS like what is IAM,Lamda,ECS,Kinesis,SQS,SNS,EKS,Organisation etc.- Go watch any Indian RUclips channel(dont spend much time).
2. Watch Sthithapragna AWS Solution Architect -Associate playlist, listen carefully and remember the tips he is giving to catch the question.
3. Watch the same playlist again with 1.5X speed - This is needed to remember the keywords and try to pause and answer the question to check if u remembered the keyword.
4. Now focus on attending the Question dumps - Note down the wrong answer and check your mistakes and try to remember the keyword.
5. Watch again the playlist with 2X speed, by this time you should be knowing all the keyword to catch in the questions.
6. 1-2 days before your exam date , attend all the question dump. If you still failing in few question, try to memorise those(which I dont think will be needed, as his explanation is so clear.).
Step 1 above is only needed if you have less time to clear the Certification like me. Otherwise attend his practical playlist, I have not attended(bcoz lack of time) but I am sure it must be awesome.
Guys, I tried to attend different course in different topics but I always end up with the way an Indian guy explain, I feel they got special skill in finding the Quick, best and clear solution for any topic.
For this Certification too, On Udemy there is an over hyped paid course/Author which I dont want name, but I am sure those who are preparing for this exam must have guessed it. I can bet to anyone, it is impossible to pass this exam with that course alone.
And then comes STHITHPRAGNA - A calm, composed, Polite guy, explaining all the concepts so clearly that even a kid can write this exam. And all these FREEEEEEEE

my guess says that udemy one is SM , cuz i went crazy with the rushed videos and the inability to justify the why and what in depth.. i feel so much more confident now watching these practice questions after 8 months of learning from 3 courses and couple of sample quizzes i paid for and still scored less which got very overwhelming to point of losing interest.. these videos finally helped me gain my confidence back.. waiting for the exam day !! :)

I am a little confused about #929.
Answer D seems to be included in answer A ,so it's irrelevant. (If you create the SNS policy to allow the lambda to publish in SNS with least privilege you already defined the lambda ARN in the policy)
Also, I think you need to update the KMS Key Policy to allow SNS and lambda to use it, so answer C seems to be correct.
In my understanding, KMS Key policies are specials resource based policies that deny all by default.
Updating the Lambda execution policy to use KMS Key (answer F) has no effect until you update KMS key policy to allow Lambda (and SNS ) to use it.
I vote fore Answer A, C, F
I think the Best answer would be A,C,D because:
Option F could work but isn't as precise or as aligned with the question's focus on securing access to customer-managed KMS keys through explicit key policies.
Option C gives direct control over the KMS key's usage, making it a more suitable solution in this context.
So, while F is technically correct, the best practice in this scenario is to use Option C for more explicit and secure key management, along with A and D for handling the SNS topic permissions.
1. IAM role vs. KMS Key Policy:
AWS KMS permissions can be granted either via an IAM role (like in option F) or directly via a KMS key policy (like in option C).
For critical services like KMS-managed keys used with sensitive data (such as PHI), it is often considered more secure and explicit to control permissions at the KMS key policy level, which is more fine-tuned and granular.
This is why Option C (adding the Lambda permission to the key's policy) is preferred over simply adding permissions to the Lambda execution role (Option F).
2. Explicit Policy Management:
KMS key policies are the default and recommended way of granting access to KMS keys. Using key policies provides more control and ensures that only specific resources (like the Lambda function) have access to the encryption key.
By relying only on the Lambda's IAM execution role, there could be a lack of direct control on which specific key is being used, and IAM role policies can become complex when there are many roles or services involved.
3. Focus of the Question:
The question is asking for a solution where you explicitly control the access to customer-managed KMS keys, which Option C addresses more directly by attaching a policy to the KMS key itself.
Option F deals with broader permissions management at the Lambda function's level but doesn't address the specific need to configure the key usage via resource policies on the KMS key, as Option C does.

Thanks for sharing the explanations of the various concepts. I would advise anyone studying for the exams to patiently go through the videos, and also pause to solve each question, before looking up the answer.
I saw similar questions on the playlists in the exams, but the concepts helped me a lot to eliminate the wrong answers, to arrive at the right answers.

For this AWS Solution ARchitect Associate series, I found that between #26 and #28, the question number jumped from 325 to 600 discontinously. Are they included in some other series number or what ? I searched around but can't find them. Please advise.
