But there are other factors too: 1) Prices are different in some places/countries. 2) Moza's QR is much better than Fanatec's QR1 (and for lower torque bases, a rigid QR is probably preferable because you won't be able to crank up FFB to compensate for QR's dampening effect). 3) Moza's ecosystem is not as locked as Fanatec's one, for example you can use other wheels or DIY wheels on Moza bases if you have the same or physically compatible QR. 4) Moza's ES wheel seems to be better than the cheapest Fanatec wheels and you can buy a Formula-style rim for it for 40 Euro; other rims (but not from Moza) also exist for this wheel. 5) Fanatec's delivery times and customer support seem to be quite a gamble these days. Fanatec also has its strong sides, though, for example, much bigger choice of wheels and they are usually more affordable (even if lower quality); option to upgrade the base to 8Nm; option to upgrade the pedals to loadcell (although it will cost almost the same as a set of Moza SR-P pedals); better compatibility with some games.
I received my bundle two days ago. Updated the firmware. Using it on Xbox on F1 22. No selection for Moza wheel in the wheel selection guide. Not sure if Xbox will update later. Using the Fanatec wheel selection. Should I use it or set up some other way?
If the actual steering wheel is the one with the compatible Xbox chip, couldn’t you just get an r5 or r9 and make it Xbox compatible with the wheel? Wouldn’t be cheap as you buy the whole bundle not just the steering wheel but it might be a good shout for a better dd base.

Yeah I wish I got the T300 before the Logitech, I might be faster than I am now, lol....
@@Aleksei-p9g Yeah that is what I am going to do, Plus I Sim Race in VR so fancy wheel isn't really a need, lol, I want to upgrade my GPU next anyways, You reckon the 40 series will drop in price when the 50 series drops?, Would be nice to get a 4070ti 16gb GPU, I got a 12gb 3060 at the moment, But now I got the T300 I will be grabbing a better GPU in the future, But I am happy with the 12gb 3060, Pretty good GPU for VR, Must be the 12gb of Vram helping it along, All be in high to medium, The 3060 is all good...
@@jochenkraus7016 The LC pedals will be next, With thustmaster the prices are not stupidly high, lol, the main reason I got the t300 is coz I can actually afford the Add On's so to speak, the t300 is actually pretty top Quality....
the R5 bundle only costs 100 Dollary Doos more atm. I think that's far better value.
if you only play on PC, yeah. bit not if you need Xbox compatibility
Would rather just get r5 or fanatec dd, they need to lower the price for 50 euros dollars
Good product, but came late. Fanatec R2R xbox bundles are 100$ more and can give you way more for the value
Forza Motorsport please
Think the r5 is better value
The whole point is the R3 is Xbox compatible, the R5 isn't
@@richardspencer4901 The wheel is the only thing that needs to be compatible. You could use a r5 base with the ESX wheel, but they won't bundle them together because they want the xbox market to fall into the r3 trap, and then upgrade their wheel base (more expensive part of the bundle)
Will this work on ps4 🙂👍
@@aah4632 yeah, the wheel has the Xbox compatible chip inside it so could be transferred onto the R5 base
@@garryburns6659No, as it's required to have a PS-compatible chip in the wheelbase, while Xbox needs one in the wheel only, and R3 doesn't have a chip in the base, only the wheel.
Not compatible with ACC😢 Thats a deal breaker.
the only console racing game i care about is gt7 too bad r3 cant do ps5
Try Forza Motorsport
NIce
Took 3 days
no clutch is a break point of getting it.. So its BIG No from my end.
yes, the R3 comes with 2 pedals, a clutch can be upgraded but isn´t part of the initial bundle. - Rene
can you try beamng drive
No load cell option is a DO NOT BUY!!!!! a gear driven wheel with a load cell brake is a MUCH better option
Fanatec $399 and does 8nm . Quit shilling for moza .
CSL DD 8 Nm is $449.95 - fanatec.com/us-en/racing-wheels-direct-drive-bases/racing-wheels/csl-dd-8-nm - and comes without wheel and pedals, what kind of a comparison is that? It's direct competitor is a Moza R9 Wheel Base. -Michel
8Nm Fanatec setup will cost you $550 because you also need to buy the 8Nm "boost kit"
@@vsm1456Boost kit can be had for $30 😂 . The fact that over take gg linked a $449 wheelbase shows you how deceptively he is conning his audience recommending 3nm garbage
You can't buy it I have been trying for over 8 months since I seen the first RUclips video on it. Moza are taking the pxxx
To me it looks like Moza held back the R3 for whatever reason but now/soon it's available and several channels are now posting their videos..
Info about the R3 popped up way earlier thats true but that might be due to Moza waiting for console approval? That often takes a while. As far as we got informed, the R3 is ready to ship in the EU and US right away from their warehouses, so there shouldn´t be any issue in terms of availability. - Rene
@@OverTake_gg looked at buying it the other day, and the shipping costs to the UK is £144. I will wait to see if if anyone here imports it first.
430 For this?! What are they smoking at Moza HQ? This should've been 350.
