The #BBBWC urban culture festival featured more than 200 involved beat box champions from over 50 countries in the categories: Men, Women, Tag Team, Crew & Loop Station Battles.
The event was organized in Berlin by Beatbox Battle TV and got powered by SEAT SOUNDS

I think after this loss if i remember correctly that scott jackson said that Alem pulled him to the side before the world champs and requested that he didnt want to introduced/hyped up as a former world champ, he wanted to just be announced like every other competitor as equals.

I gotta respect Alem for putting his reputation at risk like that for the sake of maintaining his title. Most wouldn't even dare making themselves this vulnerable in his position. He wanted to be presented as a contestant on the same level as all the others and lost with dignity.
Yup, he even asked scott jackson to announce him as alem, and not the world champ.....that's pretty humble.

B-art's combined musicality and technicality on his 2nd round, killed it man.
I just want to say to all of these guys that talk shit about either of these guys, both are apparently MONSTERS, and both performed very well. About B-art winning remember that this is a video, and does NOT represent the acoustics of the venue, and all my friends that were there told me that B-art sounded the most poweful. Also, Alem's 2nd round was very messy and included a bad inward bass response, a badly timed "are you ready" and a lipbass drop which was messy itself. Whereas B-art performed both his rounds very cleanly and did a successful response to Alem's tech in his 2nd round. Just to keep in mind.

I don't understand 2 things: 1. Why Alem didn't use more of his good routines. 2. Why B-Art used the whole championship the same sounds, but in different routines?
Auu use the same sound as much as you want as long as you keep it fresh and it sounds good no issue, look at codfish winning GBB
Codfish was so lucky, once with Bataco because he gives his 100% on last 10 seconds on second round and the second time with D-low. Gbbb 2018 was obviously won by D-low, he won vs Trung Bao and Hiss, another 2 very good beatboxers...

I think the beatboxers in this 2018 world championships getting drained pretty quickly maybe that's because of the system wasn't loud enough so the beatboxers themselves had to make their volume louder than normal to compensate the problem. I might be wrong but this could one of the reason. Also the crowd in 2018 was really lacking the energy everyone was busy taking videos. It literally opposite of 2015 crowd which was super hyped. And due to less energy from the crowd the beatboxers weren't receiving any energy.

Lytos lose 2 bbwc battles in round of 16 to kim and alem. Bart also lose his battle against alexinho in 2015 in round of 16 so maybe alem want to tell bart that he will lose again ( btw dat didnt happen lol )

For everyone wondering why Alem lost to B-art, go to Alem's RUclips channel and watch his BBWC rounds videos. He explains in "Gladiator Weapons" what happened. Honestly if he successfully pulled off Gladiator Weapons and I was a judge, I'd have stopped listening and just voted Alem every time for the rest of the tournament. :|
