For anyone curious: the book that was censored out is The Art of War by Sun Tzu. Barnes and Noble literally carries the exact copy she's holding, it's literally a bargain book there. Rather than censor it, that publisher should have teamed with B&N and flaunted the fact that you can purchase this particular edition for like $10 to $15. It's irritating that the cover had to be censored, as it was clearly important in this music video.

Musically this song is just so hypnotic, you can listen to it hundreds of times and not get bored. Something about the slow rhythm just lets you sink into it. I've come to appreciate these slower tempo songs that carry a lot more weighty sound.

“Weeks at a time” obviously implies that this isn’t the only song they were referring to
It's a true collab, Gregory. Grimes has primary credits as both writer and producer on this track and her stylistic fingerprints are all over it. I'm not taking anything away from I_o, I hear his influence too, but this isn't just his song.
I get it, though. These days when you see a singer they're usually just the face of the operation, and are backed by whole teams of songwriters and producers. The people doing the real heavy lifting are in the background. Grimes, however, is a true artist and is as DIY as they get. She wrote every word and every note on her first three records, and only shared credits on two tracks on her fourth (one with Aristophanes and one with Janelle Monae). She has a talent for writing killer hooks and that is what my initial post refers to.

And sometimes getting the right facial expressions for the vibe doesn't translate well from an idea to reality. Faces tend to be awkward, especially when stressed or tensed up

You said it was the most successful based on various things. You said charts, streams and sales. You're now saying visits however I have no idea what that means. You can weigh up all kinds of end of year lists but Grimes's other songs have been in various end of year lists.
In conclusion there are a few songs such as Oblivion, Genesis and Flesh Without Blood that have achieved better than WAP in all or most of the parameters you're using to define 'most successful' so therefore there is no basis to declare it as such.
