I love how with each wack of the ruler, the camera pans out from the window more and more, and yet, even at 0:39 you can STILL see the ruler through that tiny window go up before being brought back down again! Such a cool attention to detail!

First off that's a wooden ruler so its more dense and harder, secondly the teacher likely died from the stab wound she got from Chucky from the air pump when she was in the closet. The ruler probably didn't kill her, but the stab wound could have since she could have died from shock and blood loss.
The scariest part was when all of Chucky’s victims learned too late that Andy was telling the truth as they were killed on the spot by Chucky himself
