One of the most unforgettable moments, was singing ‘Oceans’ on the Sea of Galilee - right where Jesus called Peter out onto the Water!
On this day, we were up at 4am and had a boat and an enough power to run a few channels - but as the sun rose, we set sail, and It ended up being a glorious morning worshipping in the most beautiful place!

Can you imagine the prophetic implications of this? I'm not saying this did happen, but I seem to picture this scene. Jesus and the disciples are in the boat crossing the Sea of Galilee, again, as I'm sure they did many times. But one of the times was different. Jesus is faced out to sea with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. Peter comes up next to him and says, "Lord, what are you smiling about?" Without opening his eyes, Jesus replies, "Can you hear it?" Peter looks around, "No Lord, I only hear the waves." Jesus sighs contentedly and simply states, "I can hear my children singing."

I've been battling depression, anxiety, and sometimes suicidal thoughts for the past 3 years. God is going to get you through it. Same here. Whenever I feel my anxiety starts to fill in my body, I just listen to this song and I feel all the weight on my shoulders lightening up. Would often listen to this while I'm taking a bath and it keeps me calm.

My 3 yr old had to go to the ER 2 days ago. They were struggling to breathe. It was scary and terrifying for them. As I held them, they looked into my eyes and said, "could you sing me the oceans song?" My 3 year old recognized the encompassing warmth this song fills you with. My elder sister passed away 6 months ago. This is so hard. Here last wish for me on my birthday was to keep having faith on God. God given voices, and they warm up there voices probably.
The concert that they had here in Atlanta was amazing. Weather forecast was cloudy. No rain. Then, out of nowhere when it was intermission, it rained so hard that the people on the lawn got soaked and was told to go in the covered seats. After 10 mins., the rain stopped like it didn't even rain. Personally, I felt like God was telling us that he was watching over us, that he was blessing us. The teenagers I talked too felt the same way. They were loving people. I cried and cried when they started performing. My knees got weak when they performed this song. All throughout their concert, the sky became clear. The moon was full and it was very bright. The Almighty God was indeed present in that moment. ❤️

I've heard the countless versions of this song Hillsong has done, from the original to the acoustic session, etc. All of them were beautiful--each gives the song new meaning, honestly. But this one has to be the most powerful version. I'm not sure why. I think because they sang it live on the Sea of Galilee (on a BOAT), or just the way it was done this time. There's something about this version that makes Oceans even better than it ever could be. This song has been truly a blessing for me and for so many I know, and to see it still so prevalent even three years later is such a joy. I will be listening to this version for years to come!
Their faith has grown deeper in Jesus, that's how when we have our faith deeply rooted in Him we continue to be renewed...( power of Grace!)

I left my faith for many years and lived a sinful life and of this world. Money, hedonism and living for yourself will not bring you happiness in this life or in eternity. Believe me Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour and he died for our sins. Even when we turn our back on him, his flame and love for us is eternally lit. Even in darkness he is there. Waiting for you.

This is no ordinary song! It brings me tears and goosebumps listening! Lord, I'm forever grateful.
This is where it all started, this song! At that very moment since that day i knew there was hope! In His holy name!
The regular album version gets me but this- the quiet refrain, the sounds of the sea and nature, on a boat in the Sea where Jesus walked on water and faithful Peter followed- it all just multiplies the enormity of this song. "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders" might possibly be the most dynamic verse sung in modern worship. If you are a Christian and that verse doesn't figuratively nail you to the cross and make you want to listen and "step out" then I don't know what will. Two years ago in the depths of some major pain in my life this song provided me light in darkness. Coming back to it now with this version, it hits me on a totally different level. In the bridge there is this one moment where the Spirit moves and you can just hear it in Taya's voice and see the expression on her face. Thank you for not being afraid to put your faith on display and bringing truth in such beauty to a world and people that are in much need of it.

Sometimes life can make us feel that way, what matters is that we don't give up and we keep pushing forward and have faith knowing that God will make all things right. I failed the entrance exam for scholarship two weeks ago. I am so devastated and anxious. I feel like my father is dissapointed because that is the only way for me in order to take college because we are just in an average sector. I am an atheist and this song still is one of the greatest gifts to my song library. I personally don't need Jesus or any other Savior to turn to when I'm in trouble, but I'm happy that the connection still helps so many people. I honestly can't imagine my life without HIM. It breaks my heart when i do imagine my life without God because my spirit was lost and exposed, all in the wrong then eventually but temporarily right places. I was saved last year of 4th July 2015 and during my younger sister's 7th birthday. I am twenty-three now and it's all still fresh but the worst had been threatened by my reaching towards God and wanting more of His love, reassurance, support, and encouragement through the things i love and those i love around me. Though i do loose my grip on God's Hand and feel my lowest points some days, but i rush back toward His arms the second i know i really need Him. Every morning I made it routinely to play this song every day and as many times as i can mixed in with my favorite genres of music.All I am saying is thank you Hillsong for popping into my "Sidewalk Prophets" radio music choices from my Pandora. I pray i was at your live show here in California but i cannot wait to experience Worship with you in your movie this Friday! Yes Jesus!

I am an amateur swimmer, looking at the sea of galilee where this song was performed i put myself in same situation as Peter and would have felt terrified. Overwhelmed with the raging sea of the past , present and the future. The waves are turbulent and real, physical laws do not hold. I would have drowned many times over. But i need not fear cos Jesus is in the waters - In my past, present and future. I would not drown. I love this song dearly and sunday worship experience at the Hillsong LA.

It is amazing to see how the Holy Spirit works through each of them differently. From Taya's deep emotional strength, to the violin player's drawing inward with the Spirit, to the percussion guy getting so "in the moment" with the Spirit, to the keyboard player just listening to Spirit for accenting the music, to the two guitar guys just letting the Spirit guide them together to provide the musical "glue" that holds the whole performance together. All to God's glory.
