Roxanne plant some marigold flowers inbetween your squash and beans tomatoes i believe they help keep the insects away saw Gary from Walker farm family do that he said its to stop insects getting the plants that may help yours as well lovely garden ❤❤❤
Good morning your garden looks great. You will be eating zucchini before you know it. Enjoy. Those cakes sound delicious. Have fun at the meet up 🌸✌️🇺🇸
When you buy new boots cement the old ones put somthing inside that you can remove the plant in them put them up next to bird nests to keep cats away grow gat scat plants then they won't go near the bird houses❤❤❤ love your video,'s
Rox I live in a apartment complex and I’m not really suppose to be growing anything but I am and my landlord hasn’t kicked me out but if I would get as much as he did on rent I don’t think I would fuss either and believe me he doesn’t even try to keep these apartments up he’s stingy and he doesn’t care what it looks like here so I’ve planted a couple rose bushes and I have some lantana that’s about to bloom and I threw some zennia seeds in my flower bed and I am going to have lots of flowers and I can’t wait to see what colors they are going to be I love love flowers and I also have Iris flowers too but they have already bloomed and now I’m waiting for the zennia flowers to grow and bloom
Looking forward to the greenhouse finished product...Mabey attack all them weeds after ???? Im the kind of person that would bug the heck out of me...Looks to be one sweet garden when its ""all ""up and running....Im ready to see some veggie crockpot soups getting made !!! Enjoy the fruits of your labor....Stay safe, stay well...
Have you considered using a product like the garden weasel around your plants to control the weeds? It loosens the soil and eliminates weeds. Makes gardening easier.
Hi ya. Have you ever heard of companion planting? One companion plant to fight bug control is Marigold's in the bed with your garden plants. They really work, the bugs are repelled by the Marigold's smell and chemical makeup.
Good morning guys. Sometimes when you buy seeds some are already dead. When you plant it was always my plan to put 2 or 3 seeds in the same hole. If all come up you can Transplant to other areas or just leave all in the same hole. Okra was always that way and I soaked them overnight and they still had a few that didn't come up. So I started just sowing them like you do grass seeds. All bunched up in the furrow. Your garden is looking great.
If you would put them in your freezer overnight and then plant them they would probably germinate faster and sprout faster and be coming out before you know it just saying
Good morning Rox and Ant! I am looking forward to seeing the roofing of your greenhouse to get a better idea. It is looking very nice. Have a great day! ❤ 😊
Sometimes random plants come when seeds come from birds pooping. Last year I had a beautiful petunia volunteer which I loved. I hope your zucchini and yellow squash don't cross breed. When they are planted close together the bees will cross back and forth and essentially cross pollinate. You may get some interesting looking squash. Growing your own food is so fun and interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the greenhouse!! Exciting!!
I really enjoy your vibes! I really miss them when you can't find the time to do them, but I do understand there's a lot of work to do when you're building a homestead. I miss your lives on Friday as well. Love the chat with other viewers. We have a Nothing Bundt cakes in Louisville Kentucky. They are awesome!
Birds, squirrel , rabbits and even the dogs will scatter tomato seeds everywhere. We have pecan trees in my neighborhood. They are coming up everywhere.
Hi Rox and Ant. Please grow some basil next to your tomatoes or some french marigolds because they will keep the bugs away. Please check out companion planting for your veggies to help keep the bugs down. If you have slugs or snails, fill a jar or a can half full of beer and bury it at ground level and the slugs will fancy a slurp and will happily unalive themselves in the beer.
You can get carpet tact strips and set them on top of your 2 x 4 around your garden and keep the cats from walking on top and bothering the birds. They sell them at Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Hi guys! Tomato's coming up that you didn't plant? They will probably be your best ones. LOL I can't wait to see ya get your greenhouse up & running, how cool will that be! I sure wish I could have come to the meet up, just to far all by myself. I really wanted to meet you two. Don't tell anyone, (Your one of my favorite u tubers!) LOL Hope ya have a great time with all the happenings! Have a good day guys!
Roxanne maybe you might like to try something that I discovered about 50 years ago, and it works great. I've always had a raised bed garden that had an A Frame post on each end about seven feet tall. I would screw the pole in the middle of the ends or the bed , you can use a 2x2 but a 2x4 is better and cut a u shape top so I could put a 2x4 across the top and they would lock together. Along the sides of the bed boards I put some eyes that screwed into the wood and along the top of my 2x4 making an A frame shape in the early spring while it was cold I would plant Snow Peas and they would grow up to the top board and provide shade for below, and under I would plant leaf lettuce, all the different kinds. But I read in a gardening book to keep the soil loose and the weeds down get a 12-Ounce Plastic Parmesan Cheese Shaker / Red Pepper Shaker with 1/4" Large Holes and mix all of your root crop seeds like radishes, parsnips ,turnips, beets together and put them in the shaker and just sprinkle them all over the bed. Make sure that the ones you use have different day to maturity so as the soil packs down from watering you can pull them up and it loosens the soil, and the lettuce thrives from the filtered light and there is plenty of light for th other plants to grow. We use scissors to cut the outside leaves for salad at night along with some radishes and some spring onions. As the snow peas start to die out we plant our favorite beans Golden Wax, they loved the A frame and they were easy to harvest. As for Green beans they got their own space because we planted lots of them along with butter beans and lima. between the rabbits ,chickens you should have quite the compost pile going so you can build up the beds during the winter and spring. The shaker works with flower seeds all mixed together for that wild flower look. Have fun.
I thought about you today Roxanne. I bought some naustrums and are going to be planting them. If you’re looking for a colorful climbing plant that is edible like lettuce, they are for you. The mix of colors are so great!
Absolutely no skimping on footwear. But as grandfather said. We are one with earth Take time to be barefoot and re connect with mother earth once in awhile ✌️
Suggestion: you have all those eggs why don’t you make pickled eggs or deviled eggs for the meet up? For your old boots that are slippery. Do you have a hot glue gun? If so, then Put hot glue drops all over the soles. That will give you the traction you need. This also works well on the bottom of throw rugs and will keep them in place.
👍👍👍chk out Thorogood boots,USA since 1857... I used to buy boots from TSC but was lucky if id get a yr from them. Thorogoods about double the $ money but i have several pair that are 3-5yrs old and still being worn👍👍👍
Yes, from what I have come to understand is that you have to rotate your beds to keep the squash bugs down. If you keep growing in the same spot, the bugs get worse each year. Which I have found to be true in my raised bed gardens. Diatemtious earth is supposed to help. Best of luck to you!!!😊🎉❤
It has rained here too Roxanne but I needed some rain on my flower bed I’ve been trying to root some rose bushes and if you know a easy way would you please share with me I’m not having much faith that the ones I’m trying to take root is working oops I’m sorry Good morning to you and Anthony I hope you’re having a great morning
you can self pollinate the yellow squash. take the male flower and tickle the female flower. I used to do that because bees weren't plentiful in my area. it works you should try it.
I’m sorry to say this, but you don’t have zucchinis until after the blossoms open and get fertilized. If they get fertilized then you have zucchinis and they will grow quickly. I used to get excited when I saw those little ones then disappointed when they started to turn yellow and whither because they weren’t fertilized. I’m just trying to help you learn how to be a better gardener and understand the process it just like your chickens if you don’t have a rooster, your eggs don’t get fertilized and you don’t get chicks, the same thing with the zucchinis.
Good morning Rox and Ant, I am also waiting for the roof on the green house and get a better idea of how it will look. After seeing your past projects I am sure it’s going to be pretty nice. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Probably bird droppings are responsible for your volunteer growth. The Bundt cakes that aren’t eaten can be frozen..Anthony definitely looks like he needs new boots.. I get exhausted just making plans let alone actually doing something..
❤❤❤ Are you going to post your talk from the meet up? I'm disabled and can't travel right now. I wanted to come soooo badly. But can't. You are my all time favorite family on RUclips. I try to never miss any of your posts at all. I catch both channels. I am legally Blind, and have Parkinsons, SLE, Diabetes, RA and some other stuff. On my low days you guys are my smile. You have been my companies on many low days. I wanted to meet y'all so badly. But can't right now. Love love love y'all. Good luck at the meet up. Hope all goes well for you.
Hey, just a piece of advice miracle grow is not the best fertilizer, because it adds sodium to the soil. You really should look for your nitrogen, fixers. And your more organic type fertilizers and balanced fertilizers, so that you're not adding the things that you don't want back into your soil.
Good morning Rox And Anthony, l love how you two are fixing up your garden area, so beautiful. You two have such great ideas. Love all your videos.

Oh wow I’ve never heard of that
What a brilliant idea!

That thing is so big your going to have to make your garden bigger. Everything is going to be in the shade of the greenhouse.
Looking forward to the greenhouse finished product...Mabey attack all them weeds after ???? Im the kind of person that would bug the heck out of me...Looks to be one sweet garden when its ""all ""up and running....Im ready to see some veggie crockpot soups getting made !!! Great start to the greenhouse!
Roxanne your going to love this space..
It makes seed starting a piece of cake!🪴🍅🥬🌻🥒💐🫑🌶
Plant some marigolds in your garden beds. They will help keep bugs away. There are other companion plants you can plant to keep bugs away as well
Herbs are great to help keep the bad insects away.
Good Morning dear Rox’s and Ant 🐜 Beautiful Tuesday enjoy your day 🌺Greenhouse looking Great have fun at the Meetup 🇺🇸🇺🇸🫶🏼❤️
we always sketch out our beds and maŕk out everything we plant and where just wasting bed space by guessing!

Papa 🌶️ Pepper uses ice radishes to detour squash bugs in his garden
🙋♀️ hopefully you'll put those old boots to Good use plant some flowers in them and put them at the doorstep in the garden greenhouse 😂

I like the sound of Bruce over all the dogs but then I had a Beagle Bluetick Walker.
God Bless from your Canadian Friend
REDWINGS are probably the best working boots ever! They are handmade in the US!! 🇺🇸

Peppers like it hot Once it’s warmer at night try growing them, that’s why most start their seeds to get them a head start
I put cayenne pepper in my garden sprinkled right on top of my plants and it stopped the bugs but I had to use it every time it rained.
Your garden is looking good. I have several tomatoes and pepper plants doing well in my container garden. I also have a few cucumbers doing good too.
For squash bugs, make a black pepper paste and put at the base of the plants that need it.
Good Morning Roxanne and Ant! ☕️ ✨️🌞
We have nothing but bunds cake here in Ohio. Our son and daughter in law had them at their wedding! Delicious!😋
I 💗 black first chocolate chocolate and Cherries 🍒! Yums
Read about African Marigolds plant them in the beds with your veggies to help with some bugs.
If you plant bush beans closer together the plants w stop weeds. Love the feel of your garden area.
Love the garden area. Squash beatles can hibernate down to 6 inches

Do you like okra? Okra usually gets planted in May and does will in hot sunny summers.
🥰
enjoy your day both of you
For ppests, use either 7 dust or Diat. Earth.
Make some Banana Bread I’m sure everyone would enjoy that at least most people will
Rox have you looked into worm composting? Or doing a worm farm?
Will u be using netting for bug protection
anthonyget the new boots you very well deserve them
Howdy
Maybe use a hot glue gun on the shoes for a temp fix until you can get to the store to buy new ones?
Good morning guys
I hope you record the cake
Have a great day
When you go to the meet, will someone tend to the animals?
They're not that far from the place where the meet up is happening. They can take care themselves.
