Nice work!
If you temporarily put a diagonal brace [2x6] in each corner on the outside of the jack studs to the top plate, you can push your beam to the outer edge and it would be flush against the outer edge. You wouldn't worry about it falling over either. It's like a helping hand.

Overhead electrical, I do not miss having those around. Here we have everything underground so cleaner look but nothing to get in the way when you are on the roof working. Great job solo, it can be done with some thinking but it is still not easy though you make it look that way.
