The only problem i see with all of the seasons is that none of them have been desigend to be an addition to the main gaime. They have learned nothing from PoE. Every leage there is possibly additional content for the main game. Blizzard is just throwing their work away after each season and are not growing the game. They dont have to add as much as PoE in a leage, but at least try to put it in the main game (in a smaller scale) after the season is over.

Question is why they're announcing this now? Perhaps this year's Blizzcon is all about Diablo Immortal and there might not be D4 announcement, so they're trying to smooth things out with the Diablo audience? Perhaps there will be D4 announcement, but its designed and balanced around the MTX store so they're trying to smooth things out with this announcement? And lets not kid ourselves, D4 will have MTX store. That is for certain based on Blizzard's actions in the recent years. MTXs and Esports, those are their priorities. 5:33 - "What's gonna happen for the next 2 years? We're gonna be playing Diablo 3." Wrong ! We're gonna be playing Diablo Immortal ! I don't know guys. I'm just not that excited for Diablo-next after what has happened over the passing year. Blizzard keeps claiming that they're listening to their players and that they haven't forgotten about us, but all their actions speak otherwise. It's great to see that some people still have faith in this company, but I'm not that optimistic anymore.
Also, Blizzard does not want to appear that they are giving up on Diablo for a phone game. It makes sense to continue to support D3 up to the release of D4.
@@MAarshall Diablo 3 sold a fucking ton of units. They weren't all to Diablo 2 fans , cause there aren't that many of them. Diablo 4 will sell very well if they do even a decent job.

TBH, this sounds like Maintenance mode. With maybe a crew of 10 working on it. They should shift all focus to make D4 the next generation of hack and slash/ARPG. Considering PoE 4.0 and LostArk are likely to arrive in 2020, D4 has a lot to do to keep up with those games. Didn't like D3 much apart from the opening month or two. Played PoE a lot more than D3 as it was, imo better in almost every way. Still hopeful for D4.
I'm still somewhat skeptical. It's nice to bring this but I still can't believe what they did last blizzcon, and lets remember its been 9 months since the "we hear you" message.. 9 months waiting for them to take a step. To me this may be to control expectations in that D4 may not be revealed this blizzcon still, or it may be kinda of to bring some hype back to the game as to D4 being indeed announced. Weird, could go both ways. Btw what I definitely did NOT expect was new class sets. That's some significant work I could call u crazy if u predicted it at this point. And I like it.
@@joshua7426 Ya because it's that simple right? Mobile makes the most money so we just put all our ips on mobile. It totally won't piss a bunch of people off that we're taking long standing ips that are known for being big pc titles and making shitty little phone games out of them, right? lol

Can't say I'm impressed. Many of the other ARPGs are having larger content patches than this on a quarterly basis and I'm not even referencing PoE here as that game is in a class of its own. Must really be minimal crew that's left.
What would you guys like to see with the new class-sets? ( primarily played Monk and crusader only, so i cant tell much about the other classes ) for the monk, i would like to see a "Tempest-Rush Set", i think its one of the skills withthe most fun or the good ol' "Thunder Sweeping Wind- Set" for the crusader, a "Phanlanx-set" or a setstyle gameplay of the holy-shotgun build aka "Heavens Fury-set" (with setstyle i mean a set that specifically is about the skill heavens fury and not like it is right now that you have to build around Akarat's Champion)
I would have liked a lot of things for D3, but that shipe sailed years ago. Way more invested in how D4 is gonna turn out than what can be done to salvage D3.
Monk already has a tempest rush set- Sunwuko's. Making a second set for it would be redundant. Phalanx set for Crusader would be sweet- even though Crusader is super clunky. A set revolving around Mirror Image for Wizard would be intriguing. I play Barb- I would like to see a set based around Overpower and/or Revenge and Frenzy would be awesome. :D Monk damage abilities are all included in one set or another... Now that I think about it, they might be making support sets for everyone. Or maybe just the Monk and Barb? Anyway, DH might be some sort of Spike Trap build. Necro could be a Bone Spirit and/or Revive based set. And a Sacrifice set for WD would be very interesting.
@@LucasWolthuis-j1d or maybe he loved the franchise so much that he had hopes of a better, well made game of Diablo? Like any of us that came up fro. D1, d2. Diablo 3 was and is a fucking joke. One of the biggest flops in gaming history. Oh well at least you'll be happy with ONE new set for each character after idk YEARS. Lmfao. Such low expectations from some of you.
How can you say the newest seasonal theme is something unique or "sets the bar for future seasons", when it's just ANOTHER "hey, we took a bonus straight out of an item and slapped it as a seasonal theme"? Sure, it might give interesting changes to the playstyle, but so did the RoRG and LoN seasons. The fact is that ALL of the seasons so far have been some of the lowest effort, copy paste "content" I've ever seen. As for new sets and the rest, I believe it when I see it. Words are meaningless, considering the sales figures of Diablo 3, RoS and Necromancer MTX, Blizzard has had more than enough money to remake the entire game multiple times over if they so wanted, but I guess shareholders deserve that money more than the customers do. And Diablo Next... I honestly don't give two shits. Diablo Immortal was the final nail in the coffin for me, it showed the utter lack of competency at Blizzard. I'm happy they fucked up the Blizzcon 2018 as bad as they did, because that was a much needed eye opener for many. I hope their eyes stay open. Blizzard's money goes to the shareholders first, mobile trash second and maybe, by some miracle, some of the last pennies trickle down to PC gamers. The current Blizzard is the ultimate "fuck you" to the crowd that initially raised them to the status they enjoy today, and I will return the same respect they give me.
I dont think they would lie about the new sets considering most of diablo fans are already extremely disappointed about diablo immortal, but I do agree with that last part and tbh Idc about the seasonal events because I play diablo normally.
Diablo immortal can die under a bridge, that being said.... If you own Diablo 3 already literally no one profits from you playing it id you enjoy it haha. Also I enjoy seasons gives me something to do each new season. It's an old game what the hell do you people want? They are still releasing content, still trying to give us a reason to play, and they are not charging us so they are not benefiting much for it. They could just hang up the towel and cycle seasons and n auto if they felt like it. But they didn't and your still bitching it's not enough! Jesus you guys treat it like anthem or something.
It's an old game that get update now after the big fail of blizzcon 2018,when they had all the time of the world to make a REAL arpg from D3.No legendary rework/new items/new endgame/sets etc etc and after 7 years they pop up with this greats news!WOW!
I think blizz overall is trying to shift to being more communicative with their players. It's something that needed to happen a long time ago honestly but it is a step in the direction of rebuilding that trust they have been squandering for years. Let's just hope they continue trying to build that trust back up and we don't have another repeat of last years blizzcon.
What they should add is an option in off-season where you can chose one of the different season-themes (travellers pledge or focus/restraint) which were already there as a bonus.
I loved Diablo 3. Crusader was awesome. Loved the story, the setting. Loved all 3 games in the series. But frankly I sorta stopped caring about D3 after so much time... 'A new set' per class and some minor extra stuff will not exactly get me hyped after all this time. I'd like more story. I would love a redemption arc for Imperius. I would like the overall story to move forward etc etc.
7:00 that's not bare speculations, it's speculation (they are not revealing anything Diablo Immortal related before revealing "Diablo Next") on top of speculation (they are going to reveal something about what's next for Diablo on PC at Blizzcon).
My takeaway from this is that they have no idea what to do for a future Diablo title and therefore use Diablo 3 to collect more data on preferred playstyles and itemization / loot system. No need to call me a genius.
I can see it now.. At Blizzcon they put a gameplay trailer of whats obviously Diablo Immortal, gameplay with epic music and cut to the logo of immortal with a release date. Then, heavy footsteps approaching as a claw swipes through the logo as it fades to reveal 4 slashes, then a demonic roar ignites them and it cuts to black.
If they were copying then they have a long ways to go, POE delivers content. Still prefer the gameplay mechanics of D3, but, they're lack of content ultimately keeps a lot of people away. They could have released at least one more xpac to carry players through to D4, but, they chose to use Immortal as that bridge. Sadly.
@@ZinfandelRed1914 Hm if you play it right now then you will see that path of exile's gameplay mecanics are extreamly smooth and great, the game changed over the years for the better.
Blizzard will have to do a lot of work to repair the damage from the Diablo Immortal fiasco. Not because of the game itself, but the way they reacted to the fiasco (Deleting comments, reuploading videos, responding "Don't you have phones", etc). They will have to earn trust again because that's the one thing you take years to build and can lose very quickly, which they did. We'll see what the future holds for us. We'll see if Gameplay first is still their true motto.
They are just plain stupid. What kind of a game company sells 35 million units of a game and then doesn't put together a TEAM to do another for the PC and Console market but instead OFFENDS and pisses off mature gamers that built their company? Had they announced D2 Remaster, D4 and then said they were also creating a mobile game they'd have had a standing ovation and ROARS from the crowd. I think that entire Blizzard team is just slave workers working as puppets for the corporate puppet masters over at Activision. But now those douche bags have had thier stockholders lose MILLIONS I am sure they'll start listening to their CUSTOMERS. Let us hope!!
@@Operations1000 Lul. Amun Ra is correct though, one can only assume that D4 is a long ways out when they announce after all this time they've "begun to develop" new sets and legendaries for D3? It's definitely not a Diablo game and it most certainly won't bring back the old school players.

It’s nice to get proper update on what’s going on and what to expect. These changes for seasons may seem minor but minor changes like this gives us more ideas more ways and more challenges to create and enjoy during the season time limit

I want a season of Thanos. Every piece of hand gear that drops has six gem slots that can hold normal and legendary gems. Once the season ends those slots either get nerfed so only normal gems can be slotted, or replaced with an extra stat buff that can be re rolled at the mystic as normal.
I'm really excited for the potential for the dozens of legendary powers, I would love to see things like Mempo or Grandfather be given really good legendary text and be viable.
Actually Grandfather for me is a waeapon that shouldn't have a legendary power, just some maxed out stats, so you would have to choose high dmg or bonus power.
good news for all parties involved, except maybe for Tencent and chinese companies looking for ROI and royalty payments for their work done on the project.
It's not a new level for seasons. They literally just took another legendary affix and made it passive. Yes they added 2 more types of circle, but that doesn't change the mechanic at all.
Looks like we are just slowly getting piece by piece content that was planned for second expansion. Necro class, new areas, now these new sets for each class.
What I think would be nice and what would open a lot of builds for sets is: since they have added the legacy of dreams gem to take the place of the 2 LON rings, those rings should be reworked to where now if you equip them it will take the final place of ANY 6 piece set. So for example if you have 4 pieces of a set equipped or 3 pieces and the RORG; you will still get the 6 piece set bonus. This will allow you to get the benefits of 2 sets! I think this would be very interesting for the game!

Make Diablo 4 already. Make the multiplayer more expansive - where you can play a DII style, a DIII style (with rifts and super-charged/fast builds), and a theme style dungeon run (kind of like capture the flag, king of the hill, team deathmatch, etc. in shooter games) where you can have "hopscotch" gameplay. That way, it brings in players of ALL different flavors for action RPGs.
Yesterday I got a survey from Blizzard, they were asking me about few characters from their games and which one I like which I don't and they were also asking me, would I play a future game about some of those characters. I wonder if they are planning on making spinoffs of some games, one of those characters that were shown to me was Baal.
I just want them to make sticky traps a thing. a working build for them, bring back the original pre-ptr legendary power for "The Demon's Demise" Spike Trap - Sticky Trap spreads to nearby enemies when it explodes.

@@SuperStarkiller999 I just started but man I dont get hoe gems work and stuff haha
The only problem i see with all of the seasons is that none of them have been desigend to be an addition to the main gaime. They have learned nothing from PoE. Every leage there is possibly additional content for the main game. Blizzard is just throwing their work away after each season and are not growing the game. They dont have to add as much as PoE in a leage, but at least try to put it in the main game (in a smaller scale) after the season is over.
isnt the new gem exactually what u are asking for? its basicly s17 in a gem. what tells you that that cant happen again ?
u mean add it to the new game (maybe D4) coming out ? why add the seasons when they will be done with diablo 3 soon.
@@lukase87 Yeah it is, but the season theme was not designed around it and none of the others have been. The gem is only added because the community wanted to keep that effect in the game.
"[Blizzard has] learned nothing from PoE." That's about as much endorsement as anyone can give. Thanks for letting me know Diablo hasn't been stained. You've incited me to play more Diablo! Woo!
@@JohnPhillipJunior It's free real estate. If you put in the work for the season, why throw it away afterwards? Design it so you can keep it in a smaller scale and you grow your game while doing these themed seasons.
We're gonna be playing Diablo 3."
Wrong ! We're gonna be playing Diablo Immortal !
I don't know guys. I'm just not that excited for Diablo-next after what has happened over the passing year. Blizzard keeps claiming that they're listening to their players and that they haven't forgotten about us, but all their actions speak otherwise.
It's great to see that some people still have faith in this company, but I'm not that optimistic anymore.
the lack of creativity in blizzard is sad
If they are adding a new set for each class. I don't think d4 is to be announced in 2019 or 2020.
Also, Blizzard does not want to appear that they are giving up on Diablo for a phone game. It makes sense to continue to support D3 up to the release of D4.
To be completely honest. I think Diablo will die before Diablo 4 is ever released.. fuck these developers. They never listen to us.
I believe Diablo 4 is a game my grandchildren are gonna see being released

TBH, this sounds like Maintenance mode. With maybe a crew of 10 working on it. They should shift all focus to make D4 the next generation of hack and slash/ARPG. Considering PoE 4.0 and LostArk are likely to arrive in 2020, D4 has a lot to do to keep up with those games.
Didn't like D3 much apart from the opening month or two. Played PoE a lot more than D3 as it was, imo better in almost every way. Still hopeful for D4.
@Epicurus I got really tired of POE . Never saw the hype , and I've been playing since launch. It's fine , nothing special.
The best description of "maintenance mode" I've ever read
I'm still somewhat skeptical. It's nice to bring this but I still can't believe what they did last blizzcon, and lets remember its been 9 months since the "we hear you" message.. 9 months waiting for them to take a step. To me this may be to control expectations in that D4 may not be revealed this blizzcon still, or it may be kinda of to bring some hype back to the game as to D4 being indeed announced. Weird, could go both ways.
Btw what I definitely did NOT expect was new class sets. That's some significant work I could call u crazy if u predicted it at this point. And I like it.

Can't say I'm impressed. Many of the other ARPGs are having larger content patches than this on a quarterly basis and I'm not even referencing PoE here as that game is in a class of its own. Must really be minimal crew that's left.
Poe sux
What would you guys like to see with the new class-sets?
( primarily played Monk and crusader only, so i cant tell much about the other classes )
for the monk, i would like to see a "Tempest-Rush Set", i think its one of the skills withthe most fun or the good ol' "Thunder Sweeping Wind- Set"
for the crusader, a "Phanlanx-set" or a setstyle gameplay of the holy-shotgun build aka "Heavens Fury-set" (with setstyle i mean a set that specifically is about the skill heavens fury and not like it is right now that you have to build around Akarat's Champion)

First second and the old diablo soundtrack in the background.
You sir, are breathtaking.
well I guess it's 7 years old now...
Dude that's not the old Diablo soundtrack. Jesus.

Sounds like they are copying things from Path of Exile to keep the game going. I just want to know WHEN DO WE GET DIABLO 4?
If they were copying then they have a long ways to go, POE delivers content. Still prefer the gameplay mechanics of D3, but, they're lack of content ultimately keeps a lot of people away. They could have released at least one more xpac to carry players through to D4, but, they chose to use Immortal as that bridge. Sadly.
@@ZinfandelRed1914 Hm if you play it right now then you will see that path of exile's gameplay mecanics are extreamly smooth and great, the game changed over the years for the better.
Ok, so that’s certainly more than just a maintenance mode. Why though.... no d4 ?
Because D4 is still not rdy and they learned from last year.....or not rlly.
That situation just exhausted what interest I had left in this team's Diablo. I just uninstalled 3 when they made that announcement.

Areas that give you power? So like tempests in PoE? Or are they different?
Make Diablo 4 already. Make the multiplayer more expansive - where you can play a DII style, a DIII style (with rifts and super-charged/fast builds), and a theme style dungeon run (kind of like capture the flag, king of the hill, team deathmatch, etc. in shooter games) where you can have "hopscotch" gameplay.
That way, it brings in players of ALL different flavors for action RPGs.
Yesterday I got a survey from Blizzard, they were asking me about few characters from their games and which one I like which I don't and they were also asking me, would I play a future game about some of those characters.
