    Jiminy Cricket... He's directing a Pinocchio film. He eludes a lot of the time, read right behind what he say's.

    Look at how weirdly PTA's mouth moves at 8:33. What the fuck is going on?

      Yeah, he definitely used to do coke, but as far as I know he's mellowed out with it. Maybe an after effect so to speak.

    Why was this film a box office flop? Its as good as " The Big Lebowski". For me....better.

      As a fan of Inherent Vice, I reject your hypothesis. Cuz no movie can be better than the HOLY GRAIL of movies, The Big Lebowski!

    The problem with Inherent Vice is that PTA didn't cast Robert Downey Jr. I get he was too old but damn, the film would have been at least 40% better. Inherent Vice is a Robert Downey Jr film in the way Punch-Drunk Love was an Adam Sandler film. It also would have done alot better at the box office cause Robert Downey Jr in 2014, Duh..

      @@sb-di3of I gotta disagree buddy. I've seen a bunch of the films that inspired inherent vice, also I'm really into PTA and I think I have an idea of what he had in mind when he wanted to cast RDJ

    • @mjxtacreaixe
      @mjxtacreaixe 3 года назад +1

      @@sb-di3of Inherent Vice is a film that demands the lead to carry most of it. RDJ had the perfect charisma, personality and voice. His voice coupled with his delivery woulda made the dialogue sound alot more musical. And I don't know that any actor can exude the level of calm energy the way RDJ does. I'm sitting here imagining all the shit he would have done with his face and body. No one balances Comedy and Drama like him.

    • @mjxtacreaixe
      @mjxtacreaixe 3 года назад +1

      @@sb-di3of I like joaquins performance but.. (insert here a laundry list of the small ways RDJ would have done a better job). I feel like as much as these actors and fucking amazing, everyone has material they would be better in than the next guy. Leo couldn't play Freddie Quil (The Master) as good as Joaquin did, yet I can't claim that joaquin is better. Joaquin certainly couldn't play Calvin (Django Unchained) as good as leo did. He would have done a version that wouldn't be as good in my opinion, yet if he was cast as Calvin instead of Leo and I said Leo would have been better as Calvin, I'm sure you would disagree cause you are a Joaquin fan and apparently not that great at casting. Which is okay. Sorry for typing so much, I think I'm a little bored and tired
