Fly fishing - ARS Tronto river in Italy

We fished the no-kill zone of the ARS Tronto in Ascoli Piceno ((Italy). It’s a fly only section where only one fly is allowed. This stretch lies in an amazing valley of this historical city, and you are casting under Roman bridges and next to ancient stone walls. With 38•degrees celcius it was a challenge on itself to go fishing this day but we couldn’t let this river pass whilst in the region. We got our day permit and entered the stream. For unknown reasons every other hour some floodgate opened adding 20 cm to the water height with a fast flow of cloudy water. Within half an hour conditions recovered, but it didn’t make the fishing easier. The water was crystal clear so constant stealth mode was essential.
