❤❤❤I'm in my late 50's, and grew up watching Isaac. I know exactly what he's talking about when it comes to old world, high quality clothing and accessories. My mom shopped this way, and I always admired the way she always looked dressed at work or to parties.
I adore Isaac Mizrahi, I remember my first "big" purchase, was an Issac Mizrahi x Target collection bag. I just thought I was HER, you couldn't tell me A THING!
I used to buy Isaac at SFA in SF in 90s, He designed the most exquisite jackets with his women’s suits. His fabrics were exquisite. I remember being in London and Nichols Dept store was having a sale and they were having a sale on Isaac’s clothes. I was able to buy the most wonderful short sleeve khaki suit with a short skirt and a jacket with pockets at the top and on the sides like a Safari jacket. I had a navy cotton suit, and the fabric was exquisite.. I see nobody using that fabric then or now.. he was my hero and his women’s clothes were just fabulous. Just fabulous..
I LOVE ISAAAACCCCCCCCCC! always always a joy to see or hear him speak. OMG I love that shall he has! I have two similar ones from Loro, but I have forgot I had those. I’ll definitely carry them in the car now - they are super handy to have as a shall, blanket, or layout for a picnic. ❤❤❤❤ My favourite buy these days that I have been purchasing multiple copies of has been a Sleevless Nike Yoga top that has some really8 interesting double neck and sleeve seams, these fit great all year long… I layer them with sweaters or jackets when I wear Rick Owens, I use them for the gym, and I use them in the summer as a go-to top that goes with everything.
ISSAAAACCCC!!! I remember running home when I was in gr 8 or 9 to catch fashion file and watching the runways shows and seeing his highlights ... nevermind ripping out pages in Bazzar magazine with his designs. I ADORE Issac ALWAYS ... he's legendary. 🥰😍
This could not have been more fun! I arrived in the Times Square in the 80’s as a new green eyed flight attendant and yes, squalor was the word. 😂 I remember thinking, if I tell my dad, hell make me come home and I wanted to stay 😅😅😅
Love me some Isaac! I have so many of his designs. He is the best! I even had a couple of his Target pieces, which are excellent and are still in good shape.
Fave pair of flats were a pair he made for Target - back when they still sold leather shoes - black, pointy toe, very Laura Petrie/cigarette pant flats. Long gone but miss Isaac for Target - they could use him back.
I HAVE TWO THINGS THAT HE DID FOR TARGET: A BLACK PENCIL SKIRT THAT I STILL WEAR - IT FITS FANTASTIC. AND A SILVER SORT OF 'AUDREY HEPBURN' SLEEVELESS DRESS WITH A SKIRT THAT JUST GOES OUT LIKE THIS BALLERINA SKIRT, WHICH I STILL WEAR AND I ALWAYS GET TREMENDOUS COMPLIMENTS ON. I THINK PART OF THIS IS THAT HE GREW UP IN A FAMILY THAT WAS IN THE DRESS-MAKING BUSINESS. THEY KNEW WHO THEY WERE DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING FOR WHICH IS REAL WOMEN WHO HAVE BOOBS AND HIPS AND REARENDS AND WANT TO LOOK NICE. AND HIS MOM AND HIS AUNTIES USED TO MODEL FOR HIM IN THEIR APARTMENT, SO HE SAW NICE DRESSES ON REGULAR WOMEN. I THINK IT HAD A HUGE INFLUENCE ON HIM AND ON HIS OUTLOOK IN TERMS OF WHAT THE GOAL REALLY IS.
@@tobywollin8978 My pants have morphed in the years I’ve had them going from a full trouser to a more tailored slimmer fit. I wear them during the holidays and get so many compliments. Some younger people don’t even know what how important he is in fashion. Meanwhile you bring up so many. Important ideas. I have curves and am proud of them. It cracks me up to hear him say that he has body issues just like the rest of us.
A true icon of my generation. He is everything and always was. A true charismatic and creative mind. I am not surprised he stopped when everything started going downhill! Many who were true to themselves did! He is one of the reasons why I so happy to have been a teenager during his time as a designer. THE MOST RELEVANT TIMES IN MODERN FASHION HISTORY! We have learned from the best : Steven, Herb, Isaac, Ana, Tod, Marc and the original Supermodels (Naomi, Linda and Christy)...the passion that these people showcased for their craft, the knowledge, the humor, innovation, courage and hard work they have put into their business. New York fashion was IT for us club kids! One day I will meet him and give him a big big big hug and tell him how much I adore him.
I had a seamstress in Vienna when I was a student who looked herself like nothing and made the most incredible clothes. Very expensive for me at the time but incredibly gorgeous inside and out. There is no feeling like having a custom made garment that fits you perfectly.

Absolutely loved every minute of this interview!
What a wonderful man. Great conversation ❣️
I'm not fashion - but learned a lot, he's very educated - great interview
No matter what subject Issac is discussing, he's interesting and fun. Love him and his view on fashion and culture today.
He is always wonderful! Thank you Isaac :)

This is a great series! More please!
Isaac Mizrahi is a delight. Love his clothes. Live him. Love the gowns he designed for The Women on Broadway back in 2001.
Such a treat indeed!❤
Good talk and interactions. Enjoyed the discussion. 🥰

SUBLIME guest! Thank you.
Great interview with an Old School Legend...Love it
I have had some of my things for 50 years and they look modern but better quality.
Love me some Isaac! I have so many of his designs. He is the best! I even had a couple of his Target pieces, which are excellent and are still in good shape.
I have a 45 year old shirt, many 20,30 year old items in my closet that I still love and still wear.
Fave pair of flats were a pair he made for Target - back when they still sold leather shoes - black, pointy toe, very Laura Petrie/cigarette pant flats. Long gone but miss Isaac for Target - they could use him back.
I bought these black tuxedo pants from Target in the 90s when he did this. I still have them just because they are so amazing.

fashionbyai AI fixes this (Fashion Design by AI). Isaac Mizrahi on style, regrets.
👍🏿👏🏿❤️
Is that Booshy? I never knew her real name.
These ladies work in fashion? I don’t see it.
They are working. They don’t have time to look good.
The two women look like they just got out of bed. They should not represent an iconic magazine.
