I left Kauai back in 1991 for Oahu, it was obvious that the sugar industry was on it's final years with lots of cutbacks and less harvesting, living on Oahu I saw Oahu Sugar which also was an AMFAC company shut down for good in 1995 and Waialua Sugar closed not long after.
