I watched this in 2019 at 18. Immediately after I watched this I remember taking a long walk, came back and wrote down who I wanted to be. 3 years later I feel like the character, I’m wiser, I have the skills I need but I have not yet achieved what I set out to do. But I feel it in my fxcken bones, im so close. This information is no joke, I literally feel like a super hero in my mind walking in public, 3 years ago I had severe anxiety and thought people had bad thoughts about me.
Choose your identity, change your life!
    Thanks Sam

Beautifully explained, Sam! I can relate to this strongly.
I used to label myself as an Introvert. And growing up, I gradually re-invented my social skills. Now everyone assumes I have been an Extrovert all along. To their surprise, I tell them I am BOTH. Depends on the situation which side comes up.
Just like you have arms, legs, eyes, etc. And you simply use the parts you need at this moment. The rest are simply standing by, to be called.
Thank you for the patient explanation, and your personal examples.

I can TOTALLY relate to the inside self screaming at yourself when you try to make a call while being an introvert. I am totally an introvert and struggle
with this everyday. So what I did to help get out of being an introvert was I applied for a part time position as a Mobile DJ to do weddings and other parties
    LIVE. In front of people!
It took me over 10 years of doing this part time, every weekend, to become comfortable and I STILL feel the anxiety brewing when I first start talking to
groups but it doesn't stop me and I push through it and get the job done.
Nowadays I find it fairly easy to talk with strangers and contribute it to putting myself out of my comfort zone and just doing it. I recommend others to put
    themselves out there as well.
    Thanks for the video Sam.

This was excellent Sam and Nick. Of the many takeaways from this dialogue I particularly found the concept of other peoples characters can sometimes feel affected if you choose to one day redesign yours. It actually shows the connected one-ness we all have together, which is a beautiful thing. It also disarms the need to worry about others reactions or opinions, and just let it be. It's ok to redesign your character.
Great talks you guys. Thanks these are good value.

This content is so good! Straight 🔥. So that’s why when people try and change and for example post something regarding who they want to become others jump on them and question them as if they are doing something wrong. The reason that is is because my comment makes that person judging me subconsciously ask themselves if they are the person they should or should not be. It takes them out of their comfort zone just based off of my comment and who I want to become. This is gold here thank you so much guys! Sam is very wise 😎

This is a deep and important philosophical conversation. As Sam says the flesh isn't the same thing as you. The sense of self is really simply a cluster of habits and beliefs which is associated with a body and a name.
This isn't the self - it's what Alan Watts called 'The skin encapsulated ego'.
Yet, when you fly an plane, drive a car or ride a bicycle clearly the perception isn't that of ending at your fingertips or toes.
In fact, there is no you, there is solely a totality of what is (and is not, even what's not potentia).
This is why when people ask 'What's my life purpose?' is such a stupid question. You can have many purposes in life and from the place of potentia can choose to change and explore.
Thanks for this video - great to find a business consultant talking sense for once :)

I think one point in this video I feel would had been important to state is the belief that it IS possible to change. If one can't believe they can change or become the new character, then it's all for nothing. I've had many weak attempts to change and I come back to being the same person. I feel like you need to have a strong conviction and dedicate everything you have to do whatever it takes to make this person happen .. OR be put in an environment or situation long-term where you MUST change to survive. Like for example, if you're lazy in your parent's basement and you get kicked out on the streets you gotta make it somehow to survive. Just my 2 cents.

Hey Sam, I understand what you're talking about here about the "being yourself is a myth", but I must say there are just different persepctives for approaching this topic, check it out:
I can see you here talking about business and all that stuff I can see YOU BEING YOURSELF, because if you wouldn't be yourself, no clients would TRUST you, and I can see you're having big success and that means that there are a lot of people that trust you.
You see, being yourself or your true self is just LETTING GO OF ALL THE NEGATIVE STUFF ABOUT YOURSELF. Those negative programs you're talking about in your video were not your true self, that was just a lie about yourself. You true self is a successful entrepreneur, and right now you're being your true self and EXPRESSING YOURSELF FREELY.
Why do I care about this topic so much?
You see, any business is like art and art is the expression of oneself. So you have to be your true self, your CORE SELF to express yourself truthfuly to the people.
I can see your apartment with all that stuff inside like a motorcycle and "tuned" ancient sculptures and THAT is the expression of yourself.
The life you were living before was not the true expression of yourself. You went to school, university and got a good corporate job... That was not totally your will to do so: you were just doing the "best thing" in the societal understanding of what "the best thing" is. You were not being yourself. Now you're being yourself when you're bulding your life independently and expanding your possibilities. This is the true expression of yourself.
If you want to check it out, I published a little article on my website that is called "Don’t Be Scared Of Being Yourself: Develop Your OWN STYLE" here is the URL: www.everysax.com/being-yourself-develop-your-own-style

I'm an INFJ as well my friend, I get it. If you're a male INFJ literally less than 1% of the population will understand the struggles! Which is kinda awesome in it's own way cause we interpret things in such a unique way.

After 15 years of studying and implementing self help and personal development, I've concluded that there are 3 misguided pieces of advice at the core of anyone's journey:
    1. Trust your feelings
    2. Follow your bliss
    3. Just be yourself
If you subscribe to any one of these you'll reach plateaus that will be challenging to overcome. If you subscribe to all three, you're just doing therapy and won't go far as a leader or entrepreneur.

You need to convince yourself to be the person you want to be. It takes time and you need to talk to yourself this alot. Say this: I can be like this and this and it is the better way of living with a better chance of survival. I think the brain don't want you to change because change can be dangerous for survival. It all boils down to whats best for survival.
