That little guy is me, I’m standing there with my parents and my sister Francesca, in front of our old house. I don’t really remember too much about the old country, except that we were pretty hard up, and then one day my father decided it was time to move away. Away from Sicily, across the ocean to start a new life in America.

The year was 1943. America was at war, and the army needed guys who spoke the language to help with the invasion of Sicily. I was 18, and anything seemed better than jail...who says you can't go home again?

Никогда в жизни я не видел ничего подобного Эмпайр-Бэй. Он был прекрасен... Впрочем трудно было представить нечто более северное и отвратительное, чем наша новая контура.
Американская мечта... Скорее уж кошмар. Отец стал работать в порту на человека, который перевез нас сюда. Он работал как проклятый, зарабатывал гроши, и почти всё спуска в кабаке.
Со временем меня отдали в школу. Мне нужен был английский, но черта-с-два я аговорил на нём с итальянцами. Там я и встретил Джо. Со временем мы стали лучшими друзьями. У обоих свистело в кармане, а пристойной работы не было, и мы затеяли своём скромное дело.
... Что-ж... Тогда нам не повезло: на дворе стоял 43-й год, шла война, и для высадки на Сицилию нужны были солдаты, говорящие по-итальянский. Мне было 18, и в тюрьму я не хотел. Кто сказал, что нельзя вернуться на родину?

This game is underrated. It's such a good game
How is it underrated? I would say that 70 percent of all Mafia fans consider this the best game of the trilogy? I read all the love and appreciation for this game for 10 years now and i always wondered why it got so big, because i thought the first one was the better game overall. But it was always Mafia 2 here and Mafia 2 there. And i also saw so many people saying that they never played the first one but started with the second one. Mafia II has a big cult following and is loved by so many people around the world. It's not underrated, i would say it is overrated, even if it is a great game. First one is better, in my opinion, even if it has aged worse, of course.

They speak often in sicilian with the perfect accent of palermo and it's beautiful

Datrox i dont know what you are asking, but Lincoln as a character just dont fit in Mafia universe as a main protagonist. I agree with you with the soundtrack but Mafia 3 radio was one of the few things i liked about the game

El sueño americano, (más bien una pesadilla).
Mi padre trabajaba para el tipo que nos ayudó a emigrar y el poco dinero que ganaba se lo bebía.
Mis padres me enviaron a la escuela, a aprender inglés, y eso no iba a pasar en este barrio de italianos; allí fue donde conocí a Joe. Con el tiempo Joe y yo nos hicimos amigos, como los dos éramos pobres y no había mucho trabajo, decidimos montar un negocio por nuestra cuenta.
