Given at Brisbane Theosophical Society at 7:30PM on 12 June 2024
Discover the life and legacy of Muhyiddin Ibn 'Arabi born 1165, only son of an Andalusian family in Seville of noble Arab origins. Fearless Mystic, Poet, Sage and Revolutionary, also known as the Supreme Master, Doctor Maximus or Shaykh Al-Akbar; Ibn 'Arabi is far lesser known than his contemporary Jalaluddin Rumi. As the quintessential representative of the metaphysical knowledge system of Sufism, Ibin ‘Arabi’s central idea of the Oneness of Being or Wahdat Al-Wujud amounts to an Islamic non-dualistic Vedanta.
Wahid Azal is Grand Shaykh and Founder of the Fatimiya Sufi Order dedicated to the mysticism of Sufism.
