- This is an unusual message this Monday Morning, but I am weary. So weary, and I reminded by a plaque that sits on my coffee bar that reads “it’s ok to not be ok”
It was an incredibly hard weekend. Our first Father’s Day without you 💔and a turn for the worst to see you sweet girl rushed to the ER with a huge health scare. Just so much!
Every day that comes and goes since your passing, I come to the hard realization that I will never be the same and even harder my kids will never be the same. I don’t have a magic pill or the right words to say to take this pain away. 😢😫
This burden is so incredibly heavy! It is crushing not just emotionally but physically too. It’s an impossible weight. As I type this I am reminded it was never a burden we were meant to carry 😢
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
Not sure how that is possible but seems to be a simple command. He is commanding us simply because it’s not an option, because like I said it’s impossible to carry it on our own. So each day I pray that I learn to set it down and surrender this weight to Him and pray for direction to help my children with this too.

Your channel came up on my feed this morning. First let me say, I am a believer in the Lord Jesus, and I want you to know that I am very very sorry for your loss. The video that came up was of you fixing your coffee and sharing in all your grief, that God’s mercies are new every morning, and they are. Keep holding onto Jesus dear one. Take each new day knowing, He sees you and loves you and will never leave you. May He wrap His loving arms around you and your children and help you in this very difficult time. Lori, you are a beautiful woman… oh Sister so so much happening. Praying for you. Protect yourself my friend. As a widow you are vulnerable. There’s lots of sharks out there. Be so careful. Take everything to prayer. Grieving takes time. And everyone grieves differently. Matthew 11:28-30 KJV

When l was so heavy with grief I would ask the Lord to give me a verse. I would just open the Bible. Sometimes it would just make me laugh which heals the heart, even if it was genealogy I would read it with new attention. This helped me in so very many ways. The Bible is a great source of comfort. Let God comfort you through his Word!!
Joshua 1:9 " Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." I lost my husband 16 years ago when he was just 41 years old. This verse has always helped me because I know God is with me at all times. He will comfort me and give me rest. It takes time, but slowly you'll adjust to a new normal, and your sadness will be replaced with happiness. ❤🙏❤🙏❤
It’s 16 weeks tomorrow for me with losing my guy . First Father’s Day for his 2 sons . I pray it gets easier .

In the midst of pain it's difficult to believe that healing happens whether we want it or not. I lost my love due to the same thing.

Dear Lori; I don’t pray; I’m not a believer and your followers will come for me on that. Your page showed up and I feel for you and so I’m watching in support and hoping for your peace. As weary and bereft as I am for my departed loved ones, I can only imagine your pain. My sister’s husband died in same way at 40 and their baby was just one year old. The burden of grief is so very heavy in this life. So glad you have faith and family to help you along.
My dear cat fluff, I am an old woman who was saved and came to know Jesus at the tender age of 8 years. I hv served Him and walked w Him all my life. My hearts desire is for all mankind to meet this wonderful Savior. I am in no way “coming after you” but am encouraging you to accept Him who died for you. He loves and cares for u. God bless u
