I don’t know if Jonny will ever see this, but man…I’m SO with you. All I think about are cows, mostly my small herd (around 40). I love their snoots! I love watching how they munch and drink. Is someone out? Does she not feel well? Are her hooves looking improper? Who do I need to cull? Is my beloved herd bull limping? Is the water trough leaking? I’ll sit and observe them for far too long, and muse on what I can do better for each one and the herd. Recently - oops, my dear husband, I bought two cows instead of the bottle heifer you asked for. 😬 Cows are such amazing, mostly peaceful creatures! Exceptional recyclers of resources. And that’s just their upfront enjoyment! Then there’s all the milk! Milk, cream, cheeses. Culturing and utilizing the whey in baking. My world revolves around my incredible cows, and I’m blessed to have a (non dairy) farmer who accommodates my insane bovine desires. Good water is life, but cows are literally a close second.
It's so good to read your comment and to celebrate how your cows must enjoy having you as their human. I have friends and family in Devon, in the South Hams area, and there are some good farmers there too, who manage to be both efficient and very caring to their cows and other livestock. May your cows [and, you, and your husband, their carers] have long, healthy and happy lives.
I remember being at Bungay high school. I was actually a border at Dunelm. I am sure there was a Simon Crickmore in my year. I left in about 1978. Would he have been any relation to those running this farm business. ?
want to binge the whole series. hurry up. Best Brie ever with butter to die for
You are living my dream life. Every day I wish I worked on a dairy farm. Wish you all the best.

Great video. Nice to see a proper farm - showing it as it is. No bullshit.
God bless you for being one of the very few UK farms that sell raw unsalted butter

Thank goodness you didn’t just sell the milk!
Baron Bigod is the cheese other Bries and Brie-type cheeses aspire to be!
