Yeah that's an awesome idea it almost looks like you can remove the fans and swap them with the other mount cuz they got the same bolt pattern and then use the guards that came with the champion cooling system
At a certain point I was actually thinking I just cut up some fans for no reason 😆 I would make them work even if I had to make a custom shroud with motor mount.
@@Burndown I was wondering if you could trim off everything except for some mounting tabs and then open up the fan holes and bond it to the aluminum shroud. But I guess with the larger fans you need to offset them vertically to fit. It came out nice though Dane
Great vid, just came from the testing of the fans vid. Im trying to see if i may be able to get a simular setup for my z, what is the depth of the fans and the sround if you know it
I know this is a older video but honestly did it cool your car down? I’m thinking of doing the same for my vette. High compression stroker motor is hard to keep cool when AC is on and 100 degrees out
If you want to solidify that plastic some go to harbor freight and get a plastic welder, the cheap one and some black zip ties as filler rod and weld that shroud up. Might even be able to use the extra pieces to block off the openings on the sides.
You would have to measure and see if they would fit. Also you will need a PWM signal to make them work properly. If you have both of those things I don't see why they wouldn't cool all kinds of cars or trucks.
Denmah's jealous this fast? Seems fishy. Hey, are those brushless holley fuel pumps similar with the built in controller & pwm signal wire & power & gnd?
I have no idea. Brushless and Holley sounds like its out of my price range 🤣 Ima stick with the in tank boi's for a while. If I run out of fuel ill throw another one in the tank.
Why did the volt or bolt have 600w of fans but it would be cool if you could have found another smaller set and did one big and 1 small and do the same on the boom
These are for the Boom. They are between 360-400 watts a piece by my estimate depending on voltage supplied. I think the volt used them to cool the motor and possibly the batteries maybe. I keep hunting for a small brushless fan for my transmission cooler on the Boom. That would be amazing.
@@Burndown fans sucks air from the surroundings of the shroud just like a tornado 🌪, what's the fan's diameter btw? Did you got a prior and after CFM readings?
That was my intro. I feel like the one I made for RMRW witch is the one you have been seeing is a bit more up beat and to the point. You like the exploding mini van? It made me laugh when I made that but footage was form RUclips somewhere I think so not sure if I can use it or not so better safe than sorry I guess.
Just make sure you block off the sides that overhang the side of the radiator so it sucks through the radiator instead of pulling the air from the side

Looks good man! Good work Dane. Start of video, I honestly thought that ain't gonna fit! Lol

Nice job man. Looks good and it’s one step closer
I can't wit to see how well they work. I bet it pulls through the intercooler just fine now with these monsters!

The shroud is pretty thick. I want to say like 3.5" or so

Brushless it the only way to go if you can fit them
Looks better than I thought it would. Good job
I agree. I was worried but all an all unless you look close you can't really tell what a hack job it is.

Now your just getting crazy 🤣 That is a really good idea tho. Im sure I would lose quite a few braincells trying to melt zip ties to my radiator tho.
Great job . could you wire them to on off switch how you do it? I would like to do this to my car.
No they need a PWM signal to work. You could probably find a PWM controller that would make them work tho if your computer will not generate one.
Ok thank you very much
The fun and frustrating part of car building is making it all work. Tv makes it look seamless.
Well RUclips is kinda like TV. It took me a day to test and cut these up. The vido is like 15 min long 😆
Came up good mate, well done 👌
Yes these things are awesome.
You barely got them and you’re already fitting them in the same day 😅💪
Once I get into build mode I can't help myself. Ill be burned out by LS Fest West im sure 🤣
They good for a 5.2 ram daily driver?

Total BadAzz! Great job
These fans rock. I also just installed a 19" one on my Twinnabago and it is awesome!

Should of enlarged the holes to release all the CFMs
Ill have to look at it while its off the car again Things work great.

What was that other intro in the beginning of your old videos with the blowing up minivan? We’re you part of another channel before?

Looks great!
Thanks!
what is the width of your radiator core?
23 3/4" across

These things are the real deal. They won't care about a little side air action 😆
@@Burndown ha!
👊🏼
🙌
I wonder who that was in that white car honked at you 🤔😅
You could have had a cameo man 😆
🤙
My man!! What up Fun Fun!
So did those fans help keep the car cooler?
Yes
All good shit!
