What a superb video. Captures the mood of the Highlands so well. I climbed my last Munro in 1996 (yes I am not a young man) and have bivouacked a lot, even to get to the remote tops. One might I bivouacked below Cairn Toul in the Cairngorms and woke up covered in snow. Ben Starav is a superb mountain, probably the best top in the black mount, and you gave it full justice. Thank you for posting.
Hi Malcolm, thank you for watching. It’s a cracking hill, agreed. Been up twice and never had a full cloudless day, I’ll settle for what we got this time around though. 😁🔆👍🙏
Wow! Thanks for sharing that - definitely worthy of being described as 'epic'... If anyone ever needed to understand why folk go up in the mountains, then this will do it. 👍
What light ! What clarity ! That stream at 02:10 shimmering like a white ribbon over bedrock that it'll need another thousand years to erode into a gully. Then those time lapses & cloud inversion. I think you've outdone yourselves with this one. Perfect. Glad you clarified that noise during the night. I thought the rutting season had started early 🤣. Sorry Lisa 😁.
Morning Michael, thank you! The surroundings were outstanding! We had tried to get to the ridge when the inversion was below and the sun was above but didn’t make it in time. That would have been an amazing drone shot. Thanks again! 😁👍🔆
Ive just been running my way through your back catalog and have to say ive enjoyed every second. Some beautiful shots. Thank you for the inspiration. Steven
Another brilliant video, guys! Thanks again for posting. I climbed this amazing mountain way back in 1995! It seemed to go on forever! Your video brought back great memories!
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 Nearly as big a slog as Sgùrr a' Mhàim in the Mamores. But, maybe that was because we did it when it was 95F (35C)! The tramac on the roads around Glencoe village was melting, it was that hot. Ben Cruachan next?
Oh wow, that is the stuff mountain dreams are made of! Jam-packed with absolutely stunning footage and a great light around camp. Thanks very much for that Dave & Lisa 😃👌👍
Definitely one of your best Dave and Lisa 👏Kudos for taking so much time to record this when most of us would be buzzin' just being there! All the best from Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶
Wow, thank you Ian! Bivvying gives us the time to play around. We had tried to get to the ridge when the inversion below and the sun was above but didn’t make it in time. That would have been an amazing drone shot. Thanks again! 😁👍🔆
Thank you for the video, brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it. Why did Mrs O let you off with posting the snoring 😂 my wife would have killed me 🤣 Really like the North Face Bivvy bag. ATB, Angus 👍🏴
Hahah … better just doing it then taking the hit later! 💤 😂😂 She’s actually got a very good sense of humour, try’s not to take herself too serious. 😊🔆🤟
Hi Vanessa, thank you. 🙏 Hopefully soon, yes. We’re away to Norway 🇳🇴 next week. Hope get some good conditions. We’re going to try and get away in Scotland too.
Magic 😎 Mountain porn at it's finest. Those timelapses 😍 This just last weekend aye? We were on the Glenfinnan Corbetts. No inversion on Sunday, but it was abit sunnier.
The Mrs and I bivvied on the top of Ben Rinnes a couple of years ago..... But that was in the middle of July! Kudos to you two!
It was actually mild when the wee breeze wasn’t around. Really nice night to see everything with the big bright moon. 🔆🤟😁
so beautiful, amazing. Thanks a lot for sharing your adventure. I subscribed right away waiting for more.
Hi Ned, thank you really good to hear you enjoyed it. And thanks for joining us on our wee adventures. 😊🙏🔆

Hi Val, Glad you enjoyed it! The scenery was so spectacular on this one. 😁🔆🙏
I'm no expert but I believe that was the sound of the long forgotten nocturnal short legged highland bog boar snuffling for bugs and roots. 😊
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂… it that what it was! 😁🙏🔆🤟

@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 it certainly was when I did it.
I met an ultra marathon runner who ran all 5 tops the day I went up.🥵
Wow. Sometimes no words tell the most inspiring commentaries.
Thank you. That’s nice to read! Letting the scenery tell the story is exactly what we’ve been trying to achieve. 😁👌

Hiya Gary, Really, it was! 😂😁
Brilliant atmospheric
It's a shame when your partner snores forever and there's nowhere to go🤣
Hahaha thanks RB. There’s plenty mountain real estate not so much at home sadly! lol 😂 😂😂
