So much to love about this video: the scissor sounds, the attention to detail when cutting the underneath sections, the brushing off of the little hairs and the styling of his hair once you put the gel in!! I’d pay to get my hair cut from an asmrtist!!

He's texturizing the hair and thinning it out a little. It's why he's sorta cutting it in an unconventional way. It causes a slight unevenness in the way the hair lays, to create layers.
Hes actually cutting it. Its just his skill is so precise and his hands so steady you cant tell. Just look at the guy's shoulders and you'll see the hair. He is a real hair stylist has videos on how to do what hes doing here.
Audio is really strange. Lots of detail but it sounds like it was recorded in a small echo chamber. There is some constant background buzzing/feedback too. Fantastic skill though as always Switchscissors.

While sides are too short, only two parts are long, top and the upper back side. East Asians tend to have flatter back side of their head, so classic undercut won't suit them much.
