A cozy I read recently that has great Spring descriptions as the main character rides her bike around town is How the Murder Crumbles by Debra Sennefelder.

@@bookswithamymarie You're welcome! If you read it, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did! I'm continuing the series if they have a book 2.

I am a native Floridian. We used to have some cold weather, mostly Jan-March. But now the cold weather (I’m talking about 40-50) comes in sprints. One day it is 82 and the next it might be 50ish. Which we consider cold! Most people don’t have heavy clothing so it makes it worse if we do have a few weeks of “cold” weather. Mostly it’s hot as hell.

That's fascinating! For me, the 80s is definitely warm and 50s would be cool ish, but not cold weather where I'm from. I could see it being worse if you don't own a lot of sweaters, coats, or winter gear though! That would be tricky, 😄

I live in Michigan and we definitely have cold weather. Requested Death By Bubble Tea from my library.

Thanks for the recs! Added a few to my TBR! I also loved The Rocky Road to Ruin. I recently read Death in a Budapest Butterfly by Julia Buckley. The cover definitely has some fun, spring vibes! 🦋

I am a Florida native from Central FL. We had a few cold days this year cold enough to freeze our plants but mostly the temperatures during winter are mild. Starting about this time of year until after September/October it is miserably hot and humid.

The winters sound nice, but I'm not sure how I'd do with the humidity! I live in a very dry climate so I think I'd melt in a humid one 😅

I absolutely love the LA night market series. I swore book 2 was coming out in April, but you’re right it just said June on Amazon. I can’t wait! I took your recommendation for the ice cream shop mysteries from another one of your videos and I have a word of caution. I decided to download that one on audible for the daily, never ending work commute. Oh my, the author’s publisher did her dirty. It was literally the worst narrator I have ever heard. She sounds like a bot not even human. To the point I let my boyfriend listen to see if he thought it was a real person. I can not imagine how that narrator has been allowed to work in that industry. It makes me feel genuine sadness for authors when the narrators are just plain bad. I personally am usually inspired to read the physical book and support that author who put tons of work into their craft and then had a publisher choose a narrator that is going to drive listeners away. I always prefer the author ro ready any book. It makes for an incredible listening experience whether fiction or non-fiction. Just wanted to add that in case others attempted audible and DNF’d. I’m picking the book up from my library Tuesday. Your recommendations haven’t let me down once so I’m super excited to read it.

I'm so sorry to hear that :/ That's so disappointing for the author and readers. Thanks for the heads up! I read everything physically so I wasn't aware of that.

Have you tried Herbs and Homicide by Carly Winter? I'm halfway through and trying to decide if I want to continue with the series. I also recommend Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters if you like historical cozies

A request. I would like a long running series where it’s more or less the same characters, a police procedural or at least the police aren’t inept, and the setting is not a food place. Don’t get me wrong. I like those too but I want something between cozy and Lisa Jewell or Karin Slaughter. Anybody have any recs? I’ve read all the Louise Penny books.
