The Adventures of Batman and Robin Longplay (Mega Drive): Don the mask of the Dark Knight and take down Mr Freeze in this fun run 'n gun shooter! Read the video description for my review!
Level one has always set the tone in my opinion. You're charging through the crazed streets of Gotham in the middle of a crime wave. Fighting burglars, Joker thugs and bank robbers all out to cause damage. And the perfect music to match. As if to say, "Who else could it be but Batman?" 😎
It's really fascinating seeing this game pull off alot of cool visual effects that were thought to be impossible to do on the Genesis It's like those Demoscene videos people make where they show off their homebrew programming skills
Difficulty aside, this is the best Genesis game I've ever played. What Clockwork Tortoise achieved on the hardware is stunning. Makes you wonder what's up with some of the other developers where reviewers had to theorize the hardware limitations played a role. Appreciate the vid.
Just found your channel, very detailed work ! As a fellow C64 gamer (and other systems), I'm finding that you covered almost all of my classics. My work is different than yours however, I make compilations showing every game on a system (tried to do that for the C64, but it's on hold right now because of the 25000+ number of titles it has). Hope to see you again !
I guess you didn't play Earthworm Jim, Mickey Mania, Thunder Force III, John Madden Football, Demolition Man and many others to say that the Mega Drive "usually lagged behind the SNES in terms of audio capabilities". Sure there are also others games where SNES versions sound better but overall the Mega Drive has great audio capabilities on par with the SNES while being completely different. Anyway yeah, Adventures of Batman & Robin has some awesome visual effects, it's the most impressive game of the 16-bit generation IMO, but the gameplay could have been more exciting, some stages drag a bit too long and I also don't like the fact that there's no sound effect when hitting enemies. With these things fixed, this would have been among the very best 16-bit games but has it stands, it still a good game and an awesome tech demo which shows that the Mega Drive is on a league of its own compared to the PC Engine or SNES.
Facts.. Would've better if the gameplay was reversed. Batman punches and kicks are beautiful and the weapon throwing was a second ootion. I wish the weapons had hit sfx and the flying stages was in the batting and 10 minutes shorter.
SNES is the better overall batman experience. Genesis is the better overall 'video game'. Which is better is entirely dependent on what you want out of a video game. My choice is the SNES.
I can't stand that overrated game! Cuphead isn't even hard. It's as much hard as it is original it's nothing but a AoB&R, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, Contra: Hard Corps wanna be/rip off. It's so unoriginal that it had to steal entire boss fights from some of the above games.
Considering I've beat this quite easily, and cant even beat any boss on cuphead on normal, I'd say hell no is it harder than cuphead, actually go as far to say hardest game ive played, and ive beat NES battletoads, ninja gaiden all of them, contra hard corps, the old contras, silver surfer NES, souble dragon 3, all games known to be hard as balls, but nah cuphead takes the cake on difficulty to me.

My favorite Genesis game and greatest soundtrack to any game ever. No soundtrack makes the game more than this. I listen to it all the time.
The music is dope as hell
Absolutely, i really think this game has the best megadrive game music. And the graphics are top notch as well!
The sprite work its just amazing....
This game was a masterpiece in my eyes as a kid. Thank you for playing and uploading
Gotta love how batman, whilst on a severely damaged zeppelin dock in free-fall, still does his heroic pose.
I personally think it’s the best looking Genesis game but there are quite a few games it look amazing on the system.
Best looking is Shinobi lll both with great music though
Yeah you’re not a real Batman fan if you never played this game. Lol

5:41 is the lowest drop i didn't expect. Pray for your speakers...
54:12 The effect of 3D and parallax in this level is just stunning.
It's not even 3d, just clever use of scrolling, like the floor in toy story
@@kyler247 Yeah, that's my point. The effect is so well done that it actually looks like it's basically 3D when it's all faked. Very cool stuff.

Loved it back then and still sounds and feels good.
This game is great and still holds up today.
One of my favourite MD/Genesis games. I still play it with my nephew and he loves it.
Cant forget this game i played this game when i was 3 years old i played this with my small brother now i know why they say old is gold
The Mad Hatter along with being my favorite level and boss has the best intro music. Nostalgia to the max.
56:59 Best boss fight ever.
Nossa como eu gostava desse Jogo... Trilha sonora expetacular !!
Best boss battle ever in gaming history. 57:00
I loved this boss fight so much I made a book stand based on it as an art project.
@@MrOrcshaman Woow,nice!! 😃
17:47 Two-Face
The music is just second to none in this nuff said.
el mejor sin dudarlo un segundo, sonido historia jugabilidad, estetica, q mas se puede pedir o decir de batman

Music and GFX are strong in this one, as is the difficulty.
One game I’ll never forget
This game kicked the utter shit out of me as a youth.. the music always brought me back to it..
My first genesis game
Finished this one in 5th grade. Oh the memories.
2018 ...De los mejores juegos de mi infancia ....y de Sega Genesis
Batman with preptime is a thing of beauty
I remember the times I used to play this game
The furthest my brother and i got was the Mr. Freeze Boss and we both died when Freeze's damage counter read '01'! 🤦
Top 3 one of the best 2D platformers ever. Needs a remaster

MD/Genesis has so much more bollocks and swagger to it anyway.

I played this game a lot when I was 12. One of my favorite games on the Genesis!
😄 Harley Quinn throws a tantrum.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄She starts crying like a baby.
Bruh this was my shit as a kid no lie. The music is gold
bgm amazing,
Boy Wonder calls Batman Padre
Catchiest sound track ever!
OH. MY. GOSH.
So many good memories as a kid!!!
legendary game
Kevin Conroy
This game has a killer soundtrack and graphics. It's too bad it's so bloody difficult to finish. Great game!
Feels both great and weird that the batarangs do not make any sound effects whatsoever in this game...
SNES is the better overall batman experience. Genesis is the better overall 'video game'. Which is better is entirely dependent on what you want out of a video game.
My choice is the SNES.
Tara Strong and Mark Hamill
I guess the Genesis hardware does everything.
Yeah, sure, just casually beating Mr. Freeze WITHOUT GETTING HIT ONCE.
Excellent gameplay.
I miss this!!!!!!
You know its serious when the music starts with SEGA logo.
Loved and hated this game at the same time. Favorite along with Toy Story and Comix Zone.
the mad hatter boss fight goes hard!
Also known as Bullet Sponges: The Game.
You are the best!
Zerar esse jogo é impossível pqppppp.. p mim um dos jogos mais difíceis dos games.. tirando o batletoads esse p mim e o mais foda

51:40
This game so difficult this the first time I seen the second level
sick music!
Such a ridiculously difficult game with 2 players. Literally impossible with 1. They could've toned it down *A BIT*
Will Wayne Enterprise pay for all collateral damage to Gotham City?
GREAT THE ADVENTURES OF BATMAN AND ROBIN LONGPLAY 1994 GAME FOR SEGA GENESIS !!!!
Shame they didn't make it super hard.
And today... they tell us Robin was bisexual... LMAOOO
Go woke go...
This game is like 5X harder than cuphead
I thought it was hard as hell as a kid.
I can't stand that overrated game! Cuphead isn't even hard. It's as much hard as it is original it's nothing but a AoB&R, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, Contra: Hard Corps wanna be/rip off.

@@RocketZX i don't believe you
After all the other technically stunning levels, that last boss fight is just so crap and underwhelming.
