Hello, It's Linus from the stream the other day and I have a question Im wondering If the NatureHike Cloud Peak 2 Is enough for 2 person and gear? The vestibules seems very big so I think there should be no problem to fit the gear Im just worrying about the sleeping room being a bit to tight for 2 persons or Is It fine? Im thinking between Cloud Peak 2, Cloud Up 3 and the Opalus 2 or 3 person tent. They all seems like very nice tents but I think the Opalus Is a bit to expensive for what I will Use It for. Also with the next tent purchase I want the tent to be easy to set up because my current tent takes roughly 40 min to put up but It's a 4 man tent. Does the Opalus take much more time to put up then the Cloud peak 2? Also what material should I go for I have seen that NatureHike offer their tents In both Poleyster and Nylon what's better?
It really depends on how much gear you want to take Linus. The vestibules on the Cloud peak 2 would be okay for a back pack but nothing else. The sleeping area of the Cloud Peak 2 really is just that with no room between the two of you. Personally if two people are going then I would opt for a three person tent. For three people then I would opt for a four person tent. Thats just my experience. Maybe look at the Quechua 3 Man tent. Prices here in the UK start at £49.99 for the basic version and £69.99 for the Fresh and Black version which would be better for the summer. Nothing worse than trying to sleep in what feels like a green house in the middle of summer. It's a starting point to see how you get on with it without spending too much money early on. There is no point spending a lot of money early on if you're not going to enjoy it. Though those tents really are for campsites as they tent to stand out and not blend in with the environment. The interior dimensions are 195cm wide by 210cm long. Maybe peg those dimensions out with four tennis balls on the grass and see if that size is okay for you? The Naturehike tents really are more suited to wild camping but the Opalus 3 with its extra room does give you the flexibility for extra storage space should you stay at a campsite for 3 or 4 nights. In that tent you can easily put your gear in the vestibule or porch area at the front. I did use the Cloud Peak 2 for 4 nights and even on my own with clothing, food and the camera gear I need. Found that tent to be a little small. But if I was going wild camping in it for one night with minimal gear then its perfect. Both the Opalus 3 and Cloud Peak 2 take more or less the same time to set up. Between 10-20 minutes. Nearer 20 minutes the first time you set up. But practice makes perfect and for quicker set up time. The Cloud Peak 2 is better in strong winds as the poles cross over. Giving better rigidity. Where as the Opalus 3 is a tunnel design. Made from 3 poles like the Cloud Peak 2. But more spread out and not crossing over. For me Ive never camped with anyone else in either the Opalus 3 or the Cloud Peak 2 as I normally travel alone. Of coarse there is no easy answer and it's down to what suits you. If you're more likely to go just wild camping then the Cloud Peak 2 is a good option. If you're thinking of a mixture of wild camping and campsite camping with multiple night stays the the Opalus 3 has an advantage. If your just going to a campsite then maybe one of the Quechua tents I mentioned maybe a viable solution. I always go for ripstick nylon though Ive never paid too much attention to the construction. Just along as it has a good hydrostatic head and tapped seams for waterproof ability. I hope that helps and if you have any more questions then I am happy to help. Paul

Aww Thank you Tony. Yes loosing Buster was the most painful time of my life. He was such a lovely boy and we all miss him terribly. Bless you and I'm sorry for your loss of your dog. Bella is amazing and every day we are treated to chasing after each other with the ball with cuddles and kisses. She makes every day special. Paul
