No one could evEr replace Bette Davis in ths role, but da Lupino has surprised me with her excellent, morer-than-adequate performance. Dame May Witty, who was always marvellous in every part she over played, is every bit as good as Gladys Cooper as the Monstrous Mother, Dekker is all right, but Claude Rains was INDISPENSAbLE as Doctor Jackwith (?). I'd love to read Olive Higgins Prouty's novel n whch this masterpiece was based. There's much depth and beauty in this story.
Love anything about Now Voyager. Paul Henreid could read the phone book and I would be in love. He had great chemistry with Ida in In Our Time. Great production. Great actors. Love Old Time Radio. Kathleen
This is one of my favorite films. The radio play is a nice adaptation. The novel is wonderful, as well. Thank you.
