Is the Wizard as a solo class still viable after the massive nerfs? Honestly, you do need some pretty good gear, and it has some crazy potential. Definitely removing haste speed nerf really hurt the class.

im still on the cope train hoping they will give us something in place of haste like more agi or just make haste self cast only, been trying to use slow and stack knowledge and agi and its POSSIBLE its just 10x more work than any other class has to do and idk. the sit down buffs are cool but it just feels really backhanded

This last patch was supposed to strip down all classes to bare minimum so they can balance from "ground zero". This patch helped add a lot of identity to the classses.

What do you recommend taking in if you are base double spell wiz? I’ve been using
Fireball, Zap, mm, invis, ice, slow and chain lighting. Is lightning strike more worth using? Or what’s a better starting kit? Love the videos btw
chain isnt worth in base kit as it casts too slow, bring lightning strike and haste instead
Definitely wanna see the base kit video looking forward to that quite a bit. It’s tough now when they don’t respect your damage and you can’t haste away

They don’t respect your wet toilet paper dmg, they charge you full out, arrows are way faster and more effective than limited spells, I’m slower than everyone and glass. Shit is a joke lol.

I was a Wizard main now I switched to barb main hahaha
It used to be almost free before wipe if you could afford some DMG rolls, now it takes forever to kill but its still fun
i feel like the yneed to make haste the same but not allow it to be applied to other players

this imo is one of the biggest problems in this game, how in the hell at 5:13 is it ok for audio to be non existent that close to a fight happening where you can visibly see it.
Inb4 IM sees this and uses it as a baseline to nerf 10-spell.

Lotta crying from someone who doesn't want to have to work to win anymore. Haste being self proc only is the only point I'll give whiny wizards but wizard was so free to play once you got the basics of basics down. Haste invis almost guaranteed escape from any fight you couldn't win
I played wiz since pt2 and I'm gunna be honest; just make a fighter. Everything is just so simple. Clear rooms faster, no downtime, self heal, sprint. It's a COMPLETELY different game. It's more fun. I finally caved and made a fighter and just.... wow.

Life drain feels so clunky and cant really use it in combat and if i wanted to play boc+phantomize id just play a melee class instead.
Warlock IS primarily a melee class...
@@FellowSunBro How is a class that has mostly ranged spells mainly a melee class? Caster warlock has worked perfectly yet again after hotfix #20. You dont need to melee a single mob or player now if you dont want to and can kill anyone
@@Sulamanjansulttaani The same can be of a rogue with a crossbow, but he is still a melee class. While warlock has plenty of ranged spells, they are widely supplementary to his melee abilities. Why do you think they gave warlock a life drain, blow of corruption, and the ability to use a wider range of melee weapons? Because he's a melee class, and is more likely to need a life drain than actual ranged classes. If you are going to say you don't know how to play the class anymore, don't argue with people about it as if you are some expert.
@@FellowSunBro i certainly know more than you. Its not a melee class, its a hybrid and at the moment its caster part is being stronger than its melee part which makes it more of a caster. Sure he is melee too but that makes it hybrid not melee. What you are saying is the same if i said ranger is a melee class because they can use spears

Wizard is like Genji in OW, they keep nerfing but it will always be viable with a good player. Wouldn’t mind a little bitty baby buff tho lol, it’s been tough for a minute. Although the magic power + rest buffs were great
And just like Genji, he should be one of the top classes, but is always just one step behind one that's easier. (Barbarian and Fighter *cough* *cough*)

The only inch I'll give wizard players is that haste should be self cast only instead of what it is now. But wizard was so good as a key member of the buffball combo and absolutely deserved its gutting. A wizard player btw I'm just mature enough to admit that once you learn basics of pve and pvp wizard was really strong. Green gear with some will and knowledge with a few rolls of damage stacking made you very lethal comboed with old invis/haste made it so you could very easily run away from unwinnable fights
