The Quirky Sport of Pack Burro Racing

We visited Leadville, Colorado, to get a glimpse about the wacky and wild sport of pack burro racing. Part trail running, part mining history, it's Colorado's Summer State Heritage Sport with roots that date back to 1949. Watch these runner-and-beast teams work together as they race through the rugged, high-altitude terrain in the 76th annual Leadville Boom Days Burro Race.

How far is the course and is there a max and min time allowed?

I've seen them vary from 4 miles to 30 miles. No time limts. To finish is to win. :D
