Artist Talk with painter, Jon Redmond

Somerville Manning Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of new paintings by Jon Redmond: Maundering. The show opens on October 20 and continues through November 11, 2023.
After living in Massachusetts, Redmond has returned to the Brandywine Valley where he grew up. The paintings in Maundering are influenced by the artist’s exploration of his past haunts and his search for places that show the gritty patina of daily use, places that convey a feeling of home.
Jon Redmond is a contemporary American painter known for his light-filled landscapes, paintings of architecture, and still life paintings. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and earned his MFA from the University of Delaware. He’s the recipient of multiple prestigious awards including the Fellowship Award of Excellence, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art Fellowship, the Pew Charitable Trust Fellowship, a Vermont Studio Center Residency, and many others. His works are in numerous private and public collections including the Delaware Art Museum and the Vermont Studio Center.
