As a new infinite player... I just mess with forge and custom gamemodes. Infinite could have been really good, if it wasn't free to play, and if there was more modding support. Infinite's forge is the best by far!

At least they have armor unlocks in halo 5, whole reason I stopped playing infinite is I'm not paying for a feature that's always been free and I'm not playing as a recruit like 98% of everyone else on the multiplayer
@@benb5308 reqs were definitely better than Infinite's armour unlock method, not saying much though. If Halo 5 had more armours unlocked via challenges, achievements, or even buying with req points instead of only using points for packs, that would've been awesome.
If they just kept chief on ice after 3, I wouldn't have even minded a new hero. Arbiter's my favorite character. I don't mind a new hero. The games called halo, not master chief. ODST and Reach rock. Halo 5 is frustrating because they had this cool podcast to advertise the game, and it was ALL ABOUT master chief. And when the game came out it has basically shit to do with that podcast.
@@galenjones9529 The big difference is that, in a way at least, those stories are still about Chief. Reach is mostly about the planet, and Noble Team's fate, but ultimately ends with getting Cortana to Chief, and kick-starting Halo CE. ODST is about the aftermath of a battle that opened Halo 2, and a pretty memorable one at that. Halo 5 might've worked if it was marketed, and made as a "Chief has gone AWOL, and brass won't tell us why" game, even though the Cortana twist would've still been kinda dumb. Then the whole "Hunt the Chief" thing would've made sense.
I remember there being some reasoning behind it tied to the engine being worked in such a way that it wouldn’t be able to translate well to any other hardware but the xbox one.
@Lurking Carrier halo 5 used to be 129gb but some time like four years ago they updated it and removed a lot of unnecessary stuff and compressed a large amount of the file sizes and brought it down to 98gb
The thing about Halo 5, is that it’s a really big game storage wise, with over 100GBs. If they add that to MCC without cutting anything, it would nearly double the total space required to hold everything in MCC. That’s on top of all the bug fixes they would inevitably have to spend months to fix.
Considering most of that storage is taken up by skins & cosmetics (like the dreaded pizza gun) and you can turn those off in the rest of MCC, or even just not download the multiplayer, it shouldn't be an issue.
Funny I wish we could pick and choose what halo games we get to install…o sry I actually have the mcc and it does give you selections for what you want to install pick and choose
Actually... chief is technically sorta in the first cutscene of ODST, if you squint hard enough you can see the In Amber Clad... And John Master Halo also is in the last scene in Reach... 🤓
I hated the pvp loved the forge i thought story wise the campaign was pretty ok def better than infinites. Most people felt mislead by the marketing but it wasn't a bad story id give it like a 7 for story.
I only play single player and I like H5 so far. Yes I’m late to the game and idc. I have a life outside gaming. In any case I just shoot stuff mindlessly. I don’t read into the plot. I already know it doesn’t make sense. But yes I enjoy the single player shooting and blowing things up stuff. Pretty graphics. Better graphics than current Gen because developers tanked.
Not really, you can pick what game you wanna install in steam by going to properties, and the games are listed at DLC, you can click the ones you dont wanna install
On a more serious note, I believe one of the devs said in a blog that adding Halo 5 to the collection would run into memory limitations. Keep it mind MCC has to be able to run on the launch model xbox one. EDIT: For people commenting that it halo 5 still runs on an original xbox or that 343 can just make it so you can uninstall halo 5 in the MCC to make it run, Memory isnt the same as storage. The memory code would be too much for a original xbox one to handle. MCC has 11 engines that by a miracle work. Halo 5 engine is too big and too complex to work with the other engines. Simply put, Halo 5 engine is to much for the original xbox one to handle while running 11 other game engines. And no, uninstalling a certain halo game doesnt remove the engine from the code. Its all still there.
You can pick what multilayers and campaigns to download independently tho. So just only have downloaded the campaigns of your favorite halos. Halo 5 campaign is a once and done kind of game anyway. No need to keep it installed.

It’s impressive though that the game has multiple engines to run all of the halo games. Halo CE and 2 aren’t hard, but 3, 4, have some of the best graphics engines. Anyway, halo 5 would be too big of an addition for mcc, as a whole, to run well on older gen consoles.
Halo 5 custom games is a ton of fun. You can manipulate basically everything and create any sort of experience. Jenga, survive the world, funhouse, police pursuit, and much more. There’s tons of great mini games still going strong

Failed to find a match in team slayer at 6am which was kinda weird. Very slow for quick play too but near instant matches for land grab, snipes, duos, and rumble pit.
I would totally play halo 5 multiplayer again. Objectively the most fun infection, and really cool gameplay. Plus all the crazy weapons in fiesta, it would be cool to have in MCC
I agree, if we're talking about the Thruster specifically, cos I like it a lot more than in Halo 4. The other things like Ground Pound, Slide, Unlimited Sprint, Stabilisers? and ADS are also cool features, though they give me full-on Destiny vibes.
I agree. It didn't have a good story, but it was still really fun to play. Warzone was really fun, firefight was also fun, even though I wanted the classic, endless waves of enemies firefight, halo 5's was still good. And the Forge was incredible. The best we ever had at the time. That's something the reach fanboys will never admit.

And in terms of multiplayer the gameplay is much more enjoyable for me but the armor all being included with a horseshit battle pass ruined it for me after about a week. That being said that's still more multiplayer than I played on halo 5

Yeah but im pretty sure 343 have already said that the Original Xbox One will still have memory issues regardless if Halo 5 was installed via MCC or not... @@MicahMillion LMFAO did you even play the game??? MOST of those osiris missions are CUTSCENES. Not missions. Not gameplay. Cutscenes. And some of them have cheif in them. As far as TIME PLAYING, it's about 60 percsnt locke, 40 percent chief.
It should be preserved, but also I think it’s valuable to bring over because some of its biggest mistakes can be completely removed like the damn loot boxes. Plus warzone and the movement stuff was actually pretty fun.

Technically for Reach and ODST, Chief is kinda in them. For Reach, we help get the Pillar of Autumn away, which contained Chief. In ODST, we see the In Amber Clad right as it jumps through the slipspace rupture. Halo 5 should definitely be included, and it’s also really died off compared to the others in MCC.
I think every new Halo game that comes out, the previous Halo game should be added to MCC. Like a ritual. With Infinite released, we add Halo 5 to MCC. Then when Halo 7 releases, we add Halo Infinite.
I still remember my first impression with halo 5 in person. I went over to a family friends house who kids got me into the series with halo 4, and when I heard they not only got a Xbox one but halo 5 I was excited over playing multiplayer on not just a new console but on a new halo game…..then they mentioned that halo 5 had NO WAY to do local co op….safe to say we were bored as they we (a group of about 6) had to take turn passing the controller in single player after every death.

Sure it'd be nice if it was added, wouldn't matter much though, all anyone ever seems to play is Reach and H3, occasionally you get some H4 matches, but virtually never play H2A, original H2, or CE.
Bro I play strictly halo 4, H2A and Ce for the medals when doing the objective modes challenge every single week. There is definately enough players to support all the modes. You have to search a lot of things at once and let it sit a minute, but thats the beauty of that system you can fine tune it or expand it as much as you like depending on how long you mind waiting

For better or worse I grew up on halo 5 and had some incredible experiences playing it with friends. I know it isn't the best halo game but it holds a special place in my heart despite all its flaws
I'm actually so done with the laggy sweat-fest that is Infinite, that I actually reverted back to playing Warzone Firefight in Halo 5. If they brought that mode to Infinite, I would never ask them for anything else again.
Something that has always perplexed me about the notion of MCC requiring Master Chief to be in any of the games is that it went out the window when they added ODST. He's not even in there as an easter egg, and while he is in Halo: Rach, it's not like he's a featured character... It may as well be the Halo Collection. A problem with this though is that that would technically implicate MCC of having to include any future titles as well, which they obviously will not do for many reasons.
Bro I’m going to state absolute facts: Halo 5s multiplayer was by far the best in terms of fun for me. Smooth mechanics, as well as crisp graphics, and super fiesta on that game is peak perfection.

I don’t care if it makes me look dumb, or new, or uncultured, but no sprinting and being THAT slow was just not good for multiplayer in my opinion. The hipfire only I feel is for only fast paced games like Doom, not Fallout or Halo. Campaign? Fine. Multiplayer? No. And Halo 5 had the best of both worlds cause the “aim” was mainly just a slight zoom but basically still hip-firing with cool models and shit. And you are bonkers if you thought anything was near as fun as super fiesta with all the crazy and cracked weapons you could get. I didn’t play halo for competitive multiplayer, so I won’t speak on that. But for fun pound for POUND Halo 5’s multiplayer was the best.

343 are good at what they do, they just need to be swapped part way through development so the end product is in no way tied to their creativity

Halo 5 custom games is a ton of fun. You can manipulate basically everything and create any sort of experience. Jenga, survive the world, funhouse, police pursuit, and much more. There’s tons of great mini games still going strong

@@MicahMillion They really screwed the pooch on this one man, I don't think there's any coming back from this. The minimal content and patches scream skeleton crew, I can almost guarantee they're already putting most of their assets towards another game/project.

Supposedly they’re in a lot of “technical debt,” shortcuts they took coding to get the game out on time that they now have to undo and fix so when they’re done with that, release forge, and release co-op campaign, theoretically they can start on making it actually a live service game

Failed to find a match in team slayer at 6am which was kinda weird. Very slow for quick play too but near instant matches for land grab, snipes, duos, and rumble pit.

I agree, if we're talking about the Thruster specifically, cos I like it a lot more than in Halo 4. The other things like Ground Pound, Slide, Unlimited Sprint, Stabilisers? and ADS are also cool features, though they give me full-on Destiny vibes.

I agree. It didn't have a good story, but it was still really fun to play. Warzone was really fun, firefight was also fun, even though I wanted the classic, endless waves of enemies firefight, halo 5's was still good. And the Forge was incredible. The best we ever had at the time. That's something the reach fanboys will never admit.

And in terms of multiplayer the gameplay is much more enjoyable for me but the armor all being included with a horseshit battle pass ruined it for me after about a week. That being said that's still more multiplayer than I played on halo 5

MOST of those osiris missions are CUTSCENES. Not missions. Not gameplay. Cutscenes. And some of them have cheif in them.
As far as TIME PLAYING, it's about 60 percsnt locke, 40 percent chief.

I'm pretty sure you get to see the Chief's cryopod at the end of Reach if you play in legendary.
It should be preserved, but also I think it’s valuable to bring over because some of its biggest mistakes can be completely removed like the damn loot boxes.
Plus warzone and the movement stuff was actually pretty fun.

Technically for Reach and ODST, Chief is kinda in them. For Reach, we help get the Pillar of Autumn away, which contained Chief. In ODST, we see the In Amber Clad right as it jumps through the slipspace rupture. Halo 5 should definitely be included, and it’s also really died off compared to the others in MCC.
I think every new Halo game that comes out, the previous Halo game should be added to MCC. Like a ritual. With Infinite released, we add Halo 5 to MCC. Then when Halo 7 releases, we add Halo Infinite.

I still remember my first impression with halo 5 in person. I went over to a family friends house who kids got me into the series with halo 4, and when I heard they not only got a Xbox one but halo 5 I was excited over playing multiplayer on not just a new console but on a new halo game…..then they mentioned that halo 5 had NO WAY to do local co op….safe to say we were bored as they we (a group of about 6) had to take turn passing the controller in single player after every death.

Sure it'd be nice if it was added, wouldn't matter much though, all anyone ever seems to play is Reach and H3, occasionally you get some H4 matches, but virtually never play H2A, original H2, or CE.
I mainly play H3, H4 and H2A and the population is quite healthy!

Bro I play strictly halo 4, H2A and Ce for the medals when doing the objective modes challenge every single week. There is definately enough players to support all the modes. You have to search a lot of things at once and let it sit a minute, but thats the beauty of that system you can fine tune it or expand it as much as you like depending on how long you mind waiting

It takes a while to find matches, but WFF and Warzone, as well as Team Slayer and Super Fiesta still have some life left in them.

I'm actually so done with the laggy sweat-fest that is Infinite, that I actually reverted back to playing Warzone Firefight in Halo 5. If they brought that mode to Infinite, I would never ask them for anything else again.

Something that has always perplexed me about the notion of MCC requiring Master Chief to be in any of the games is that it went out the window when they added ODST. He's not even in there as an easter egg, and while he is in Halo: Rach, it's not like he's a featured character... It may as well be the Halo Collection. A problem with this though is that that would technically implicate MCC of having to include any future titles as well, which they obviously will not do for many reasons.

I don’t care if it makes me look dumb, or new, or uncultured, but no sprinting and being THAT slow was just not good for multiplayer in my opinion. The hipfire only I feel is for only fast paced games like Doom, not Fallout or Halo. Campaign? Fine. Multiplayer? No. And Halo 5 had the best of both worlds cause the “aim” was mainly just a slight zoom but basically still hip-firing with cool models and shit. And you are bonkers if you thought anything was near as fun as super fiesta with all the crazy and cracked weapons you could get. I didn’t play halo for competitive multiplayer, so I won’t speak on that. But for fun pound for POUND Halo 5’s multiplayer was the best.
