So something interesting I learned (if you want to go further back), is that it originated with the cloth that was used to mop up the blood of Christ on the streets. As the blood oxidized, it turned brown. It was miraculously healing and protective, so people started distributing the cloth. The brown habits were representative of being covered in the brown cloth of Our Lord's sacred blood. Anyway, yes, the brown scapular is such a blessing! 🙏🏻♥️

Veteran here! I Didn’t know they had a metal version for us . But My grandmother took the scapular and sowed front and back together so I could wear on my dog tags while deployed . Great content thanks you for sharing

I got mine at Our Lady of Camel Church in Recife while I was traveling last week.
I'm only baptized, but the prist gave me permission to wear it while studying for my 1st communion and confirmation, as long as I attend all my classes and keep praying the rosary once a day.
He also blessed the scapular and put it on me (he said the first time the prist should do it, after that it's ok to do it yourself, but always get it blessed).

I tend to tie a knot on the part that hangs in the back just to keep it from getting all wonky. It also closes it up a bit so that it rides closer to my neck. I tend to have to lift and move a lot, so this keeps it a bit more manageable.
I try not to think about the promises attached to it, and rather just look at it as a connection or devotion to Our Lord, and the Carmelites who love our Lord so much.

I've been enrolled in the Brown Scapular for a long time now , and it's an amazing Sacramental , Our Lady of Fatima says that The Holy Rosary & The Brown Scapular are Inseparable ... and every morning during my morning prayers I devoutly kiss My Brown Scapular idk how many days of indulgence we receive when we devoutly kiss Our Brown Scapular but its definitely a beautiful reminder of Our Lady's Love and Protection for Us , Her Children ♥️ May God Continue to Bless You Amber! I think you can substitute it with 5 decades of the rosary with a priest’s permission. Also, I’ve heard that you can substitute it with abstaining from meat in Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Thank you for your video. Soon it will be one year when I'm wearing a Brown Scapular myself and I love it. Carmelites are the coolest. But I have one commentary that regards to wearing it and restrictions that you mentioned in the video. I got Brown Scapular from Carmelites themselves and they allowed switching from material one to Scapular in form of a medal. There is a bunch of different sizes and shapes so I picked one that suited okay and I'm wearing it since then. Although I really like material one and I do carry it in my backpack just in case I would like to wear it, but wearing it all the time is really inconvenient to say at least. In the video you mentioned that Scapular in form of a medal is reserved only for a military - could you reffer exactly where this rule is stated? Because here in eastern europe (hello from Poland and Lithuania) we do wear medalion Scapulars. Also, I did fund that on December 16, 1910 St. Pope Pius X, by decree of the Holy Office, allowed to wear a Scapular medal instead of a Scapular. After the Sacred Congregation of Cardinals researched into what was going on with the Brown Scapular, because of much confusion as to colour, size, material etc, they took their findings to Pope Leo XIII at the time who ruled that it must not be less than three inches by two and half inches in size, made of a carmelite colour - brown or black of woven wool. The straps can be of any fabric. Emblem on the front and back was optional. This happened in the late 1880's. In this era, the opportunistic money makers, protestants, etc thinking that they could make money by selling a tiny bit of fabric to Catholics who were ignorant of these facts began to dictate the market standard. Hence we still have people thinking that they can be of any size, or made of metal. In fact even many consecrated souls have been caught up in this deception. One of the conditions for wearing the Brown Scapular is to pray Our Lady's Office every day or ask permission from a priest to substitute that for praying 15 decades of the Holy Rosary. As was revealed to Sister Mary Martha Chabon. When Our Lady asked her to give her 15 flowers a day. Which is what you do when you pray 15 decades of the Holy Rosary.

I only deal in the words of official prayers well researched as well as info on our faith. If you dig deep, you will find that even the words of the Holy Rosary have been altered. And the majority of Catholics even priests and nuns, have not noticed. On talking with an elderly priest now deceased, quote " change a word here or there, or a commer and the meaning of the prayers have been changed. eg. The Hail Holy Queen Prayer - moaning , groaning, or mourning. Mourning is the correct word. And that is just one example.

Hi Amber! Quick question, is there a specific ceremony for getting enrolled? I have seen that there are different prayers of getting enrolled, and I'm not sure if one is the "right" one. My parish priest is not too familiar with the devotion, so I don't think he would know either, lol. You mentioned there was a simple ceremony and I was wondering what that entailed. Thanks! I am 1 year of being Brown Scapular Confraternity (Carmelite)! 🤎
The Nuns at "The Mother And Baby Home" in Tuam Galway, Ireland were probably wearing a Brown Scapular, The Miraculous Medal, a St Benedict Medal, had a Rosary in their pocket so they could pray it during the day. They probably had some Holy Water, Holy Oil, Holy Candles and a statue of Mary the Queen of Heaven in their rooms.
The home was run by The Order Of Catholic Nuns called the "Bon Secours Sisters." 796 babys and children between 2 to 3 years old died under their care with no burial records. It was later discovered
after the home had been shut down for years, that the Nuns had disposed of the bodies of these poor Innocent babys and children in an old sewage tank. A few were able to survive and told how terrible they were treated and were always hungry for lack of being fed enough food.
My question to you is, since the Nuns were wearing a Brown Scapular when they died did Mary go get them out of purgatory and take them to Heaven?

Thank you for this video! I just got my brown scapular a few days ago. It doesnt have the same image as yours. It has the eucharistic and latin that says Death in the world, life in christ. I got it from DTS. Anyways, i have one problem with it. It shows with just about every piece of clothing i have. I dont know if that is bad, but could i get a longer one? Also could i get a new one when this one hasnt broken, and is new? I hope you see this!

When i shower, i wear another scapular that is just for the shower then after showering, i will wear the one i took off before shower. I will hang my wet scapular on the hot sun to dry off

I believe so, since deacons are ordained clergy, and may do everything a priest can, except for celebrating Mass, blessing the Gifts, and confessing other people. But ask first just in case. Peace be with you!

The scapular is not a direct pass to heaven. If you are still in sin but wear the scapular you can go to purgatory. That’s where the sabbatine privilege comes in. Whoever passes and is still in sin Mary will take them to heaven on the first Saturday after they passed. Works are required for that privilege aside from wearing the scapular

Which bible? There's only one bible which was canonized by the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. Faith without works is dead
Paul writes a mystery to the Gentiles, Roman’s 4:4-5 we are saved by grace through faith in the blood of Jesus to wash all our sins away. Ephesians 2:10 we are his workmanship created unto good works. Not for our salvation, but heavenly rewards.
