How to Program the SR609C Solar Controller

In this video we show some of the key features of the SR609C and how to program it when using it with a passive solar water heater. *Note in the first few minutes we misstated one thing regarding the 220V wiring. It is not a fourth wire that you use like you would for a dryer (an appliance that has both 220V for the heater and 110V for the other electronics), but is still three wires - two hots and a ground instead of one hot, one neutral, and one ground that you would have for 110V.

Thanks for the explanation. Does the controller offer a means to automatically control the water level in the tank like other controllers for low pressure systems? Thanks

This is not a controller for a low pressure system and it does not have that feature. Our systems are pressurized with heat pipe collectors.

It can, yes. That's the AH function described in the video.

So you can Wire this for 220v?

These are third party controller and I believe there are different versions of the same controller. The version we sell accepts 110V-240V. They may make one that only accepts 110V. There should be a sticker on the side of the controller that mentions the operating voltage.
