When on the coast of any country, you’ve gotta try their seafood. Here in Essaouira, Morocco, we went on a huge Moroccan street food tour, trying fish pastilla, the popular street food of stuffed sardines with chermoula, and even a fish couscous. There is some amazing street food in Essaouira, Morocco, and today we tried some of the most popular street foods in the city.
Of the amazing street food in Essaouira, Morocco, we tried the popular Moroccan food tagine, this time a lemon chicken version cooked with olives to give it an extra bite. The tastes and flavours of it were quite different than other tagines we’ve had, and oh so yummy and delicious.
The street food seafood pastilla was packed with seafood and full of flavour. To end our Essaouira seafood street food tour, we tried a huge Moroccan seffa. We aren’t joking, this Moroccan seffa was so huge it was impossible to finish! With so much amazing street food in Essaouira, Morocco, we had such a great day exploring the city on our Moroccan food tour.

we don't mix the couscous with the tagine! You have to cut the bread into small pieces and enjoy! the tea is left at the end. If you choose couscous without vegetables and without meat, it's best to accompany it with leben (little fermented milk). Bon appétit 😋

Nice video, Thank you! As most Moroccan dishes mix the sauce with the food when eating with Fork & Knife, one doesn't get the most out of the taste, unlike when eating with hand (of course washing them before & after each time one eats).

That Seffa must have been super delicious! BTW it's called Seffa medfouna "The buried" as the name suggests the chicken is buried underneath. Glad you enjoyed it :D

@@walid3397 yes usually with grilled sardines there are bones to remove, the stuffed sardines are deboned before they are stuffed and fried, so no need to remove any bones because they are already gone 😉

Hey As Fg! Yes we have! We tried a camel meat tagine when we were in Fes, it was soo tasty, check it out here: ruclips.net/video/piww91XYO2k/видео.html
It's hard to pick a favourite town to be honest, but two that really stood out to us were Essaouira and Chefchaouen, they were both very beautiful and unique, we also really enjoyed Fes as well! Each city you most likely need a few days and you can see most of the main sites and eat the best foods ;) Hope that helps! All the best, and thanks for your comment and for watching!

Eating any Moroccan dish with fork and not bread takes lots of values and taste from the dish’s
The bread should be your fork/spoon. Cut a little piece of bread (small not big) hold is with 3 fingers, it serve as spoon and collect little bit of chicken and any other vegs you have, the breads automatically absorb the sauce then eat it. It’s like a miniature sandwich. Then you repeat the same till full.
