I may do a video in the near future that covers everything that has been done to the car to get it in the state it is in currently. These can be fun projects.
@@tims_4x4_garage Nice! They look good. I’ve been thinking of picking up some 17s. Did you do the 968 caster block upgrade or wait until the existing ones age out? How’s the ride harshness?
@@NC944er I haven’t touched the caster blocks or looked very closely. I’m not sure if they’re original or upgraded. To my knowledge, at some point the 944 part was superseded to the 968 part so it’s possible they’ve already been changed out but unlikely as the suspension appears original except the konis. When I got the wheels they were wrapped in old dry rotted potenzas which were very stiff and the ride was awful but swapping to Yokohama advan the ride is really good.
@@tims_4x4_garage I’ve got about $3,300 worth of parts on order, most of it coming from Germany, so it’ll be 3-4 weeks. Looks like I’ll have around $2,000 left for body work and paint.

Yessir. 17x7.5 front with 225/45 and 17x8.5 rear with 255/40
